Surprised our house hasn't burned down and cannot believe that the our house passed an electrical inspection. We have hidden boxes behind the drywall. Had to have a real electriction to come in and rip out drywall and find all the hidden boxes and rewire practical the whole house. Multiple outlets have failed because there was no ground wire to them. Used the ground wire for a neutral and several ground wires were not connected. Ripped up carpet to put in wood floors to find he used left over piece of wood to patch work the subfloor together. Changed out kitchen island counter top to find the old one was made from a patched work of wood again. Never fixed leak in the roof from day one of buying the house only to have a roofer come out to put proper flashing in around chimney that was not proper size to begin with. Replaced windows to find not one were ever flashed underneath to begin with. Replaced doors that have leaked to find they also were never flashed underneath either. Never could get the builder to ever come back and fix his mistakes or sloppy workmanship. When we would get him on the phone he always had some stupid excuse to why his workmanship was sloppy.
