Buyer beware!!! I purchased a home Barry Hill built in the Hawk creek subdivision. Home has nice finish work BUT we have recently learned that the house was not placed on the footings correctly. The drainage system placed to keep the crawlspace and basement dry failed because it was done improperly. Unfortunately that's something that you cant see when purchasing a home. All sides of the house have been dug out and new french drains placed. Most of the old ones were crushed by the clay soil. The small amount of rock placed around the drain was also crushed because it was cheap rock. The entire crawlspace is wet from years of improper drainage both internally and externally. The cement drive was cut too deep which is allowing water to go right under our garage. We have mold and mildew down there and have spent over $25000 to fix these issues. It will be nearly impossible to keep all water out now that the mortor joints between bricks has eroded from years of standing water.
