  Repair a hot water heater

  We were given helpful advice. We were helped in a timely manner. They did what they said they would do and showed up when they said they would. They knew the product well. Very satisfied!

  If I could give this place negative stars I would. They are a warranty contractor for Rheem water heaters and have very poor customer service; specifically, Mrs. Barton. She called to let me know Bartex would be coming out to repair my hot water heater, I said that's fine and asked if they had the parts on hand rather than waiting 2-3 additional days for parts to arrive. She proceeded to argue with me that a gas control valve is not a part for a hot water heater. So, I gave her the part number and she said, "oh, you mean a control valve". Are you kidding me? Semantics... remember context clues? Use them if you don't understand something...Needless to say, they don't have the part. Go figure... a warranty contractor for Rheem has no parts to fix the product the specifically repair.

  I overlooked this incident and chalked it up to her just being incompetent and moved on. Well, it gets better. I am scheduled with Bartex to come out on Friday 2/18. Mrs. Barton calls me Friday morning and says they are scheduled to come out this morning. I already told Mrs. Barton during our initial conversation, and the day before, that we were waiting on the part and it has not arrived yet, but it should arrive Friday, 2/18, before 12 PM on 2/18. "No problem, just call when it comes in and we will be out." She says. Well, I get notification from FedEx around 2 PM the part is delayed and won't be delivered on 2/18. The part is delayed by FedEx an additional day, and at this point, it's been a week without hot water, I have two small children, and company coming into town, none of which are their problem, but this is where it goes south.

  I emailed Rheem and told them this is unacceptable, that I've been patient, but I am not waiting another day for the part, and asked if I could just go get a new water heater. "Oh, sure that's not a problem, we will change the dispatch to replace the water heater instead of the part. You might call Bartex and let them know of the change." Cool, no problem. I call Bartex and let Mrs. Barton know of the change and her response is now, "Oh, sorry, Zane, the earliest we can get out there is on Monday". "What are you talking about, I was scheduled for Friday. "Yeah, but you didn't have the part so we took you off the schedule, and we don't do water heater swaps in the afternoon". Are you kidding me?

  If you're wondering why you are having difficulty finding reviews for this company, it's because they are a fly-by-night operation and would prefer not to have reviews posted. Can't find them on Google, Facebook, nowhere except here, so I am being sure to tell everyone I can about this awful company. I am sure I'm not the only one with this experience.

  Repair Water heater

  Very unprofessional people. Spoke to Lee ( that's what she told me). We had an appointment day before yesterday, there were no show. Called yesterday(1/6/2022) gave an appointment for today (1/7/2022). Again no-show. Called them today again and Lee told me no technician is available and unable to send any today. ask for after hour technician , She hung up. Extremely poor service and customer support. They are the certified people for REEM it seems. Horrible people

  Swap a defective Rheem water heater gas valve

  $125

  I waited 4 days for my appointment. The technician called and said he would be here in an hour. I said great, we'll be waiting for you. When he got here it was raining so he called me instead of coming to the door. But I didn't have my phone on me. He left after 3 minutes, knowing I was home, because he didn't want to get wet. I got his messages a few minutes later and called him, 4 times, to let him know I was home and to come back. He wouldn't answer his phone. To add insult to injury, when I called a manager they defended him saying, "The technician didn't feel safe." It was raining. No lightning. No Thunder. Rain. Call another plumber who isn't afraid to get wet.

  Water heater repair

  I would definitely recommend Bartex Service! My water heater is fairly new 4-5 months new and when I called Rheem I was referred to Bartex Service. I was originally told they wouldn't be able to come out until the next day but was offered to be put on a cancelation list. Luckily I was called around 4:30 and told the tech could come out around 6. He showed up found the problem and was able to get it fixed same day. Thank you so much! Great service tech and service!

  Bartex came out and went above and beyond to troubleshoot and repair problem. Highly recommend !!!

  Repair water heater

  $500

  Brought 50 gallon water heater in new house in October 27, 2011. October 12, 2017 water heater stopped working.Called Lowes in Dallas who told us to call A.O. Smith. A.O Smith told us to call one of their contracted plumbers. An old guy from Bartex shows up October 16, 2017 and stays 10 minutes and says he needs to order a part. Same guy from Bartex shows up October 23, 2017 and says the heater is leaking and we need a new unit. Whatever we complain to A.O. Smith they refer us back to Bartex. So I call and plea with Bartex they we have been without hot water for almost 2 weeks and the Rep of Bartex promises she will send a ticket to Lowes to get a free replacement and pay $800 for installation! A few hours she leaves message on my cellphone that they won't be able to replace it after all because this heater was a replacement in 2010 even though we have a warranty until October 27, 2017 and today is October 25, 2017. I pray for you A.O. Smith contractors, because you guys are crooks and liars. They left us hanging with no hot water for 2 weeks and still didn't fix it. We could have brought a new one 2 weeks ago! You are crooks with A.O. Smith. Never called and spoke with us directly to give us feedback, just showed up and left after 10 minutes in our house. No card, no contact = crooks.
