By Devon M.May 18, 2017Structural Repair and Mold Remediation
I had a foundation problem in my basement and it made my entire basement flood whenever it rained. It was expensive to fix so I kept putting it off until finally I found mold down there. I had multiple people out to look and then I came across Basements Love Us. The inspector that came to my house knew exactly what he was talking about. He wasn't pushy nor was he just trying to sell the job. He was honest and told me what I actually needed instead of just trying to sell me the most. He even offered me financing that day and I was approved on the spot. The crew who came to my house were so friendly and courteous. They covered everything in my basement to insure no dust or debris would ruin anything. They were fast and did a great clean up job after and I haven't had any problems since. I highly recommend this company to everyone.

By Sean S.May 9, 2017Fix leak/external drainage system$4,750
I had this company come out to look at a leak in my basement. Their inspector told me that part of the problem was some settling that had caused the crack and that if I did nothing about the settling than the crack would re-occur. Their representative Paul suggested that I have them install an external drainage system that was supposed to redirect water around the house to the back. He claimed that this would prevent water from flowing underneath the house and undermining the foundation. This portion of the job was $3650. It has been 100% ineffective. I have since seen MANY cracks in my walls due to continued settling. I have since had to hire a company to install a true solution to the problem that will cost $26,000. But I was basically tricked by Basements love us into hiring them to do a $3650 job that was completely ineffective. I filed a complaint with the better business bureau and encourage anyone looking at this company to read that complaint and other from other customers of theirs.

By a user in WoodburyMay 8, 2017Considered for Multi-Room Remodeling
Showed up on time, but the rep, Joe Kelly, kept adding up numbers without taking measurements. When I asked for a written proposal he said it would be a price on the back of a business card, unless we wanted to pay $350 for a written proposal. As soon as he said that we ended the appointment.

By Meghan O.March 2, 2016Basement work$8,9503 daysExcellent Contractor
My basement walls were crumbling after every rain storm we had due to all of the moisture coming in through my foundation walls. Basements Love Us were referred to me by a family member who also had work performed by them. After their inspector came out I decided to move forward with the project. It took 3 total days for them to complete my basement. They installed a barrier on my walls that led into my french drain system that they also installed. Everything directs the water into my sump pump and I never have to worry about anything again when it rains! Excellent job guys!

By Shannon Y.February 22, 2016basement waterproofing and structural work2 daysHighly recommended company
My basement wall was cracking and bowing. I always had moisture problems but didn't think much of it. I decided to contact Basements Love Us, Inc. and get an expert opinion. They came out assessed the situation and told me that I needed to do some structural work to one of my foundation walls as well as install a water management system. Since I had it installed, I haven't had any more problems.
They are highly recommended.

I hired Basements Love Us to waterproof our basement. The estimator was nice and gave us a great deal if we signed with him on the day of the estimate. I was told it would be waterproofed, but under the stairs they were going to install a grate to catch the water and stop it from going into the area of the basement which would be finished. The job was done on a Friday. I signed what I thought was a receipt when the job was finished. I went down the basement on the following Monday and I had water coming in one corner and still under the stairs but it was going into the grate. I contacted Shannon and was told that I signed off on the job(even if that were the case, I signed assuming the basement was waterproofed which it was not) Shannon asked me to send her pictures and after going back and forth she said she would send someone out "as a courtesy" I was immediately thrown off by the use of that word, as I feel it was not a favor to me, it was to complete the service which was not done properly in the first place. 3 corners were waterproofed one way and the 4th corner was not finished as shown in the pictures below. They came out and finished the corner that was not finished during the initial install. The installer told me that I was right and it should have been completed that way originally. A couple weeks later I went downstairs with the contractor to talk about finishing the basement and noticed that the water is going past the grate, which we were told would not happen. The estimator said that we could put a door in front of the grate and we wouldn't see the grate or the water that was going into the grate. I just contacted Shannon again and was told that the stairs leading to the Bilco doors need to be replaced and to let her know if we would like a price for that. We were misled by the company. Had I known the basement would still be getting wet beyond the grate I would have used the money to do something else to my home since I am not able to finish the basement with what basements love us has done. I told Shannon I would be writing a review and she said it was defamation of character and they will contact their lawyer if need be. I am simply stating facts about the services I have received, so that no one else has to deal with what we are.
