I ordered a new door on June 8th, with an estimated installation date between June 29th to the first week of July (said door would be in at 3 weeks). At 4 weeks I called, they told me 5 weeks. At 6 weeks, they said it hadn't come in yet. After 2 months I called and was very angry and told them I wanted my $1,150.00 deposit returned, so the representative told me the door just came in and scheduled an installation date of 8/23. On 8/22 he called me and tried to change the date, I said no way.
The person who wrote my contract (who was my point of contact the entire time, was Greg Baskin.) He set an arrival time to my house at 10:30 am. He called me at 10:30 and said it would be between 11:30 and 12:00. I called at 1:00 pm and got a recorder, still no door. He showed up at 1:45 without a return call.
The reason this company received even 3 stars? The installer (Vlatimeir?) did an excellent job. It took him 8 hours, but the workmanship was great, the door looks fabulous.
The problem? Absolutely no communication from management. I had to call them instead of them contacting me with internal delays.

I would actually rate Greg as zero if I could. He and his crew did work for me last year. It was a pain dealing with all the delays and broken promises, but at least I ended up with a couple of nice doors. When I called in April of this year (2013) for a mahogany french door I expected the same outcome. However, not only did I have to wait six months to have the door installed, but the materials were shoddy and the installation a disaster. I gave the installer a page-long list of things I could see were wrong -- including the door being crooked and the threshold mounted on a couple of shims. I had to hire another contractor to order more wood and do the job right. The other contractor (Swift Construction) found even more horrors with the installation including using a wood binder, where there was a chunk of wood missing. Do not, under any circumstances hire these folks for anything. They are no longer reliable.
