This is a rip-off company. I contracted with Bawa Construction Group to build a retaining wall, a patio, and a walkway on April 4th, 2023. Upon its insistence I paid an advance payment for material purchase in the amount of $9700. The contract stated that the work will be completed in two weeks. Until mid-June 2023 they have not started the work and they did not deliver the materials to the site. They gave us all sort of excuses from bad weather, to shortage of labor, to delays on other jobs, to breakage of equipment, even a death in the family. I asked the owner repeatedly to either refund the money or deliver the materials that I paid for to no avail. Now they are not even responding to calls, emails, or text messages. I am reporting them to the Better Buisness Bureau, the Consumer Affair, and I am retaining an attorney and will be filing a law suit.
Stay away from this company, they steal your money and don't deliver. -
By Michael R.June 28, 2023Fill Collapsed Cobblestone Patio, Re-Lay Stones, Pressure Wash, Fill In Space with Polymeric Sand, A$3,200Read more
If you want your job done on-time or correctly, DO NOT hire the BAWA Construction Company. They, and in particular Harold and Joe, have unfortunately been impossible to work with.
In July 2022, I hired them to fill in a small hole that collapsed part of my cobblestone patio, re-lay the stones, pressure wash the stones for my patio and driveway, insert polymeric sand between the stones, and all-weather seal over the top. They quoted me $3200 and said the sand and sealing would last 5-10 years without an issue.
After paying, they pressure washed the driveway and patio, then let it sit for several weeks to the point where they had to come and redo all of the pressure washing since weeds were again growing within the spaces. Also during this time, I filled in the hole in the patio myself as it was a hazard to my children playing in the backyard. I asked them to lower the $3200 price since I had completed part of the job and was told, “That was being done for free since it was such a small job. The power-washing, polymeric sand, and sealing still would cost $3200.” Since they had a contract and I honestly just wanted it done, I dropped the complaint and they finished the work in mid-August, over a month after they stated it would originally be completed.
Fast forward to April 2023 and there were weeds again growing within a great amount of the areas where polymeric sand and sealer were laid. I was told by Harold over the phone, “No problem. Our worker probably did not power wash deep enough and we will take care of it.” Eventually, after weeks of little to no communication with Harold except when it was initiated by me after several attempts, he sent me to Joe, who said the same - that it was their error and it would be taken care of.
In the last three months I have been given the following excuses why they have not even come to the house to see the work that needs to be done:
- Harold’s wife had given birth and no one from the entire company was available to correct the job.
- It was raining and the work could only be done in a dry environment. (True, but they could have seen the job and what needed to be corrected. Plus one day of rain does not equal three months of being put off.)
- They were too busy and had too many jobs to do surrounding Memorial Day Weekend.
- Harold told me, after two months, that I needed to speak with Joe in order for it to be completed and that Joe would call me. I waited another week without a call, asked for Joe’s number myself, and was told Harold had lost my number to forward to him - although I had called and text him for weeks prior.
- There were also THREE occasions I was promised Harold would be coming, just for him to no-show without contacting me at all. This was followed with a FOURTH no-show by Joe also without any contact. At this point, Joe also stopped returning my phone calls. To sum this up, I paid $3200 for about eight months of a job they promised would last between 5-10 years. The communication has been non-existent except when initiated by me, and even with that they have stopped returning my messages. There is additionally no ability to leave messages for Harold, which is why I started resorting to texts, since his mailbox is full and has been for months. It is undoubtedly filled with messages from people like me seeking for him to correct his horrible business practices. Joe on the other hand gets voicemails, but now does not return the calls. I even gave him two more opportunities to return my phone call before posting this and those messages weren’t returned.
You would be better off hiring literally anyone else to handle your housing needs. I will now be taking them to small claims court. Save yourself the trouble I have found myself in and simply don’t hire them!

I had a terrible experience with Joseph Loliscio. Also, he works with Bawa Construction Group. His partner John is part of this criminal act too. Joe took money from me in Dec 2022. He still needs to finish the job. Delayed the project for poor quality work, left all the work in the middle, and everything in my driveway. I paid him $4,000. He promised me he would start within 2-3 weeks. He would buy some bricks from this money. Also, one day without my permission, his people came to my house and took sand to work at different places. When you asked him to complete the job, he would make excuses about his problem and sickness. He never picks up the phone, no answers. Even though I asked him to give me my money back, he told me he would come on July 6—since now there is no call, no explanation, and he has never shown up. Don't trust this guy. He is over 70 years old and lying and scamming innocent people. Please stay away from this guy. He should be in jail.
