few days ago i called to have someone come out to fix a sewer clog in the outside line. Mike told me it would be at least $400 for them to start. I let him know straight away i was concerned with that as i dont have much funds. Next day Mike came out,I was asked if there is a clean cap. As a plumber they would know there is a clean out. Never having an issue like this, I had no idea. He told me he can go on roof with camera to see what issue was, but it would be $350. I felt and expressed that it seemed i had no choice. Especially IF there was no clean out cap. He discovered there were roots in the line. Next-again, myself knowing nothing about plumbing and wheather or not there is a cleanout spot. I agreed allow Mike to use a"water detecting" device. This is another $300. Mike tells me it would cost $3000.-$4000. on top of the $600. to fix issue. (I got a $100. "Discount")I asked for an estimate to be written and was told i didnt need one because he know i would call him back to do the work. After Mike left I YouTube and found where the clean out cap is and went to store and bought a small electric snake drain cleaner for $220. and issue was fixed AND im not a plummer. I was preyed on because Mike knew im a single female and assumed i would toss out the money. He asked me to write a review so here it is. I was taken advantage of.
