Marshawn Lynch was wrong. DON'T call Beacon. I had a dishonest experience with them, called them to look at my rental furnace. The $75 service call is just to lead you into more because the tech refused to look at the furnace, charged $400 for a diagnostic, which was just to try to sell a new $4000 furnace. And that's twice the hourly rate for a lawyer, btw. It was exorbitant. He left after doing nothing to the furnace, and now I have to dispute the charge since his handlers defend their practice. I see that their customer issue person responded to this review, yet he would not take care of the issue but defended their practices. Here's what happened when I called another plumber. They came out for $125 service call and actually FIXED THE FURNACE. A switch was clogged which we knew to be the problem before, they unclogged it, removed a piece of insulation that had gotten caught and was tripping the thermal sensor, and it fired right up. They went above and beyond, finding a duct in the crawlspace that had become disconnected and was just blowing hot air outside (much like Beacon who was blowing hot air to me). None of this was done by Beacon in their "diagnostic". Lastly, they verified the heat exchanger had NO crack as John from Beacon said it did, and the furnace did not need to be replaced. Their quote for a new furnace was $2600 by the way, since I asked to compare it to the price from Beacon. This is a ripoff and that's why I'm frustrated that Beacon wouldn't even address these issues, yet they appear to have a reputation in the industry for doing this.
