By Martha M.April 1, 2025REPAIR DOORBELL
NO I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PERSON FOR ANY JOB AT ALL.
HE CAME OUT TO LOOK AT MY DOOR BELL WHICH WAS NOT WORKING,
HE WAS SENT OUT BY MY HOME WARRANTY CO. HE DID NOT GO INTO
MY ATTIC WHERE THE TRANSFORMER AND THE WIRES ARE, STILL HE
SENT A REPORT TO MY WARRANTY CO THAT THE WIRES LOOKED LIKE
SOME KIND OF ANIMAL HAD BEEN CHEWING ON THEM AND THE WIRES WOULD HAVE TO BE REPLACED, WHICH WOULD NOT BE COVERED BY MY
WARRANTY, AND IT WOULD BE ADDITIONAL $625.00 OUT OF POCKET. I
PROTESTED TO GET A SECOND OPPINION. I WAS ASSIGNED ANOTHER
ELECTRICAL CO, WHO FOUND THE TRANSFORMER WAS BAD. THEY REPLACED THE TRANSFORMER AT NO ADDITIONAL COST. BE WARE OF BEAN. VERY DISHONEST. 0 STARS -
By EgallowayJanuary 14, 2025Fix light switch that was tripping the breaker$85Read more
Choice Home Warranty sent Bean Electric to look at our electrical issues. We had a light switch that would trip the breaker when we turned it on. Bean electric set up appointment and on day they were to come, they rescheduled saying they were sick. I was not available on day they rescheduled so we arranged another day. One guy came out and looked at the issue and checked the outlets and the breaker and the light switches in the living room where the problem was. We had power in the living room; we just couldn't use one light switch. After fiddling with it and tripping the breaker several times, he concluded it was a compromised wire in the wall. And the breaker would not slip on anymore so we had no power in the living room. He filed with home warranty who denied claim (that is another story- it wasn't wear and tear) so I texted Bean Electric and told them I still needed it fixed and if they could give me estimate and schedule it. I was told it was going to be $1475 cash- or 10% fee to use card which would be $147- and they would just do a rough mud in. It was scheduled for Thursday at 10am. It was going to take 3-4 hours to finish. I moved furniture and covered it and took everything out of the room since they had to go into the wall to fix it. At 1030, no call no show so I texted them and was told busy call you later. I didn't hear back so I texted the next day and I was told they were sick again. He said he would call Monday to reschedule. I did not hear anything so I texted him again telling him we had no power in the living room or foyer. That was Jan 6. He read the text and I go no reply until Jan 13 asking if he could schedule me. By that time I already had it fixed and this electrician didn't go through the wall and didn't charge me $1400! It was a bad switch. It just ticks me off that I got no call about them not showing up. What if I had taken off work? That would have been a wasted day! It was just so inconsiderate. I did call home warranty company and told them to remove them from their contractor list. I am not the only Choice Home Warranty customer who has had issues with Bean Electric.

By JamesAugust 2, 2024Attic Fan stop running$60
My attic fan stop running after 7 years. Been Electricians says: bad wiring, we cannot fix. Picked up service fee ($60 for Choice Warrant) left. This is a BIG joke: bad wring ran 7 years and even it is bad wring, this “Been Electric” cannot fix bad wiring. Never use this kind “ELECTRICIAN”

By James T.January 19, 2024Laundry room light switch
"I had a disappointing experience with Bean Electric and their technician, Shane, who was dispatched through Choice Home Warranty. Shane's service was far from satisfactory. He provided an inaccurate report, claiming I wanted my stove cord to match the wall outlet, which was a total lie. He was initially called to fix a laundry room switch that wasn't working, and he falsely reported that the light was fine.
Moreover, Shane attempted to charge an additional $300 for a problem covered by my Choice Home Warranty, demonstrating a lack of transparency. To make matters worse, he took an extended phone call during the 15-minute service, complaining about personal matters, including his ex-wife in Charlotte.
Adding insult to injury, Shane used my bathroom and left it in an unpleasant state, stinking up the entire house. I paid a $65 deductible for a service that not only failed to address the original issue (light switch not working) but also subjected me to unnecessary inconveniences.
This experience was unprofessional and cost me both time and money. I am extremely disappointed in the service provided by Bean Electric and, specifically, by technician Shane."

Horrible service!!! Very unprofessional and unreliable. Came twice to replace receptacles and now they only work sometimes which is now a fire hazard. Never came back to fix it. Also, I had to clean up his mess after Shane left.Took our money no problem, but now having to hire someone else to do their job. They took the claim for our home warranty service. Would NOT recommend this company period. Honestly didn’t even want to give them 1 star.

Unprofessional electrician lied to me and American Home Shield, stating that he had called me and left a message to initiate my service repair and that never happened. He only responded to me via text when I left him a message that I was contacting AHS. Definitely no recommendation from me.
