I am amazed at how Bella Brother’s Construction has received positive reviews. I have only had negative experiences with them. They do a classic BAIT AND SWITCH to steal your money, change projects, and do not stand behind their work. Their owner has no accountability or professionalism once you sign the contract and leaves you wondering where your deposit goes, when you will be assigned project managers, and when/if your projects will ever be started (or competed).
During my experience with them, they have changed project managers 4 times- one quit, one cursed me off (demanding money before project was completed), one was brand new and finally the owner “took over a project” before breaching our contract and backing out. They lacked all communication and follow up, which required me to constantly reach out to them for updates, project starts, etc. They constantly try to upsell you even though they had originally told/promised certain tasks would be done. And finally, the owner, himself, lacks all professionalism and accountability and backs out on projects via email with little explanation without the decency to actually discuss it with you.
In conclusion, if you do proceed to use Bella Brother’s construction, which I would HIGHLY NOT RECOMMEND. I would make sure your contract includes EVERYTHING before singing- including start dates, completion dates, the fine details, what is included vs no included, etc.

So, I had an appointment set for today on 10/17/2016 and received a call at 8:30 AM to confirm our 10 AM appointment. I get to the property 15 mins early and get a call from the actual contractor asking if I can push back or appointment to 12 noon, not liking that. Then he drops a bomb on me and say that there is a $250 deposit fee just to do the walk through and bid process? I say you are aware that I'm doing a 203K loan and he wasn't. Now I'm pissed because I've spoken to whoever took appointment several times and made sure to express to them that I'm doing a 203K Loan. Not one time did they ever say that there was a fee involved. The contractor apologizes to me and then proceeded to say that you know it's standard practice, we do this process and never hear back from the people. We all have families and then says well I'm not sure if you have kids or not but I need to make sure I take care of my kids. Why am I supposed to care about that. Not my issue.
This was handles all wrong and very unprofessional on so many levels.

Working with this company was simply amazing. I was someone who had no construction experience with such a large scale renovation. My husband and I originally planned for a kitchen renovation but wound up with a renovated kitchen and extending our basement! The drawings and insight Tom and the designer were able to give to me was amazing. They had us in the office and were able to walk me through what it would look like with their Google program. The girls in the office were so sweet and accommodating the entire time, they really knew how to make us feel like we were home even at a several hour design meeting. The schedule was continuously laid out for us and as it changed I was updated by their project manager Eric. There were, of course, hiccups along the way with discontinued materials, but they were sorted out and we were presented with alternatives without going over what was already budgeted. This was very impressive for my husband since he is a DIY kind of guy. We both just pretty much stepped back and let them do their thing and man, oh man, everything is gorgeous. I could not be happier with everything. We look forward to tackling our master bath next!!! Thank you to everyone at the office!!!

I hired Bella Brothers in November 2020, where they were to start working February 2021, but they didn’t start until June 2021. I hired them to build a deck; build a roof above the deck; install screening around entire deck, including underneath the floor of the deck; install ceiling fan; install outlet; install sconce, etc… Eventhough they started in June, they didn’t come back to do any work since August 2021, except for the railing installer, who came in November 2021, for 1 day, to i install 2 railings, instead of the 6 railings that was agreed upon, per contract! When I questioned Tom about somethings that were not as I requested that the be installed, he informed me that I didn’t know my place!! Tom try to insure me that he knew what I needed, “even though he doesn’t know me!” Bella Brothers also attempt to extort additional money from me, outside of our contract!! In my honest opinion, I believe that Bella Brothers is not an honorable business; they sign contracts that they have no intention on completing, depending on who you are!! People please protect yourself because I now have to sue them for the difference that I have to pay out of my pocket, from the balance I still owe them. I paid them 92% of my contract, where I owe them no more than $7,142.00, yet there’s approx 16 things left for them to complete. They even offered to let me keep what I owe them and then write me a check for the difference totaling $10,000.00, to be done with me, but I couldn’t agree because it’s gonna cost me over this amount to hire new contractors to complete all the work they refused to complete!
