Be aware when your phone calls are not returned, or he finally answers your call with delays. Such as, he has a doctor appointment, or he was in an accident.

Mr. Ben Adams claims to be an honest and upright man. In my opinion, He is not!!! Don't fall for the line he is a Christian and deacon in his church. Mr. Ben Adams takes people money, and make promises he does not keep. There is nothing honest about that behavior. He claims to hire professionals. I do not know of a professional who ignores the safety of their clients. His professionals used a large rock on the corners of my house then framed my garages around them. That's right 4 Large rocks to support a new built out for a garage. For concrete, in the garage, mud was used. Additionally, hardy plank was put on top of rotten wood. Also, when my roof was installed, they cut the vent pipes in the attic, which caused overheating and a fire broke out. Ben Adams promised to fix it, of course he has not.

I have discussed problems with him several times, and have asked for a refund, which he agrees to pay then do not show up, or return phone calls. And the cycle goes on. I have filed a BBB complaint which he has NOT responded. It appears that the only time I can speak to Ben Adams is when I see him at Home Depot, Eastex Fwy @ Little York in Houston. The last time we spoke, while at Home Depot was Dec 27, 2019, He said he had a doctor’s appointment and would get back with me later that day. He also said he was aware of the BBB complaint. Be advised he has not responded to the BBB complaint. Please, Please, Please Do Not Hire Ben Adams Interiors and Construction for any project. He is a dishonest businessman whom you must avoid at all cost.

I entered into a contract with Mr. Ben Adams on 02.24.17 to install a laminate wood floor in my bedroom. He provided an invoice, and I paid the requested deposit.

He sent his workers to install my floor, and even though they were pleasant I don't believe that they were experts. They cut the wood inside of my bedroom which meant there was DUST everywhere!. Mr. Adams made a mistake in my floor measurements which resulted in the workers running short on the laminate. Mr. Adams came by to look at the progress, and he told the worker to cut the wood outside. The workers cut the wood on my front porch, and handed the cut pieces through an open window of my bedroom. This was VERY unprofessional as there was an available spot on my patio in my backyard.

The floor installation is completed by Mr. Adams standards; however, the following happened.

1) My floor was unleveled; instead of making adjustments with padding or floating that area with material the installers proceed. Now my floor is uneven, and per Mr. Adams this is what is called a floating floor. I was speechless...oh back to the shortage of material.

This was discovered about 11:30 am Mr. Adams told me he had to go get extra wood and he would be back in an hour. He returned 2hr 45min later. I had a ball to go to, and I made that clear before the install. Mr. Adams stated that his workers would be completed by noon; however, the workers arrived 1 hr late...I did not receive a call.

Back to the floor there is caulking in areas where the wood wasn't cut neatly to fit against my door frames. The transition wood is not the same color as the laminate wood, and glue is all over my bathroom floor near the transition wood to my ceramic floor. Mr. Adams stated that he would fix these issues as they were minute and he wouldn't send workers out to correct this horrible install.

Mr. Adams and I agreed that our business relationship had gone bad, and I requested my deposit back from my AC installation. As of today 3.06.2017 my floor has not been corrected, and Mr. Adams has stopped taking my calls. I guess this means he is going to keep my money for the AC that he hasn't install, and he is not going to correct the issue with my laminate install.

I wish this site had the option to upload pictures. This review or words that I am writing can not truly reflect the unprofessional look of my floor, and the unprofessional behavior of Mr. Ben Adams.

Please pay a little more, or make sure to do your research, but DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS for ANYTHING. Not even to repair, build or remodel your dog's house!!!!!
