    Beware! Mr. Cataldo operates illegally at the customer’s expense. He advertises himself as a licensed contractor, which he is, BUT he is a Home Improvement Contractor, licensed only for jobs up to $25,000. He estimated my upscale kitchen remodel at over $62,000. Unfortunately, this was not his only violation. By law, The State of Tennessee caps home improvement down payments at 30%. Mr. Cataldo required a 70% down payment. At the end of the job, I had to pay several thousand dollars to other providers to bring his work up to electrical and plumbing codes and to make other repairs after Mr. Cataldo would not or could not correct these problems himself. Mr. Cataldo has a good thing going for himself – not for you. You can verify this information by calling the TN Dept. of Commerce and Insurance, Contractor and Home Improvement Division at 800-544-7693.

    Had Ben Cataldo come out in January 2016 to remove a load bearing wall and install a LVL Beam to open up my living room/kitchen area. While installing the LVL Beam they managed to cut the beam too short and set the beam on the 2x4 outer wall it is only bearing 1.25 inches on it which is really scary. I've just noticed here recently that the drywall has a crack running all the way from one end to the other where the beam is. I've reached out to Benjamin and have received no reply I will likely have to hire another contractor to remove and reinstall a new beam and fix what Ben Cataldo couldn't do right. Guess I'll have to eat the money that I paid.

    Add on living space

    124 Bob Parker Rd he did good job first time. Had a addition added for Mother worst job EVER. Never finished it going o n 3 years now shower doesn't work ,ceiling not level, lousy job and he won't finish IT..

    Benjamin Cataldo and his crew are FANTASTIC! Professional, excellent work. I've had Benjamin do 2 projects for me so far and there will be many more. 1st was a roof extension on the side of house. The results are amazing the neighbors were astonished at the improvement to the over all look of the home. The roof extension looks as if the house was originally built with this extension! 2nd project was a deck extension 12X10 on one side of the existing deck and 12X14 on the other side. Build in 1 day and I'm absolutely thrilled with the results. I would recommend Benjamin Cataldo for any home improvement project you may have. Thank you Shelly Fugate
