Bennett and Sons was recommended by Choice Home Warranty. They put a new condensing unit. In 6 months time it broke down and they refused to repair or replace it. I am very disappointed with this company I would give them a zero if I can. Do NOT hire them. You will be very disappointed like me.

They have come to my home 3 times to repair my A/C unit for the SAME issue, and it keeps breaking down every 3-6 months. They care more about money than they do customer service, and anyone who is considering this business should ABSOLUTELY contact someone else. This company is completely unprofessional, especially the woman in charge.

Bennett & Sons came to my home through my home warranty service. First the serviceman knocked an oil painting off the wall and punchered a hole in it. I was told by their office to go out and find three other similar paintings before they would do anything. My oil painting is 3 years old and one of a kind. Right.
The worst part was the repair itself. They actually pulled the wires from inside my unit and taped them together with electrical tape across the outside top of my unit. and considered the job done. Now the wires are sparking. I am afraid of an elecrical fire. I call my home warranty company and was told to call Bennett & Sons. I did and was very rudly told to call the warranty company back because they won't come back without an new work order ticket. This went around and around for over an hour.
Now I have a new work order for sparks coming from the wires taped on top of my unit. If Bennett & Sons come back, I will run them off my property. -

I would give zero stars but i have to give one for the first repair they made. Not impressed with being told i was awaiting a part from my home warranty company for you to install to having you completely decline the work. Also having known i have been without AC for 5 days now. Please explain and I will change review.

So, here it is, one of the hottest times of the year...June. Our A/C was blowing, but no cold air was coming out. Figures that this would happen on a Saturday. So, I Bennett & Sons was contracted by our Warranty company. Boy, I am glad they were. I talked to Patty and she worked it out with a great tech, Lester. Within 45 minutes, Lester was at our front door. He was really nice and went right to work! He tested everything and quickly determined it was our capacitor in our condenser outside. He changed it out and ensured everything was working well and sure enough, cold air has started to flow through the house again and water is draining out of the drain pipe outside. I can't thank Patty and Lester enough for taking care of us so fast! I would recommend them every day of the week for any A/C needs!

My experience involved a detailed service and inspection performed by "Christian" on May 21, 2017. Christian was terrific. He appeared on time, and he was very courteous and well informed about my Carrier A/C unit. I am in the FPL service program and he did more for me than I had envisioned, including taking the time to show me how to clean my filter (instead of buying a new one). He even fixed my garden hose - and was nice to my dog. FPL and Bennet & Sons can be proud of Christian as their representative/AC mechanic. I hope Christian returns next season !!

This company deserves zero stars! After giving me the run around for days, I called a reputable AC Company crying. I had to stick with this abusive, nasty liar who has a severe anger issue due to my home warranty however I threw a wrench in his program and was advised by the reputable company to ask this a-hole to pull a permit. The scam artist then raised my non-coved costs by double (which I agreed to pay as Florida is HOT). Finally after 6 days of hell my inside and outside unit were changed but the scum never pulled a permit. So, I called the County and the warranty company, took photos of all the serial numbers (my condenser isn't the one the warranty company ordered), scanned the invoice which did NOT include model numbers or the "extra things" that doubled my out of pocket costs. I sent everything to the warranty company and the building permit official. The nasty buzzard showed up after my unit was installed with a permit that he got an hour before. When I questioned him and asked him to show me the parts that I had paid for, he became even more irrate and abusive. When I mentioned disputing the charges as I didn't receive specific items that I paid for, he started screaming like a crazy person so I retreated to my home with this monster on my heals screaming! I locked the door and my toddler and I huddled in the kitchen while he beat on my door. I was just about to call 911 when he stopped. I waited a few seconds and then crawled to the window to see him leaving. It's been 10 hours now and I am still shaking BUT I am not one to be scammed. Warranty or not, I will not be taken advantage of! He is being investigated. How many home warranty consumers signed blank (as to model numbers) invoices? Something stinks and it isn't me but I plan on taking out the trash!

Called them for service on Air Conditioner I purchased from them, Called them 5-6 times..nor return calls & no show when appt. was made. DO NOT USE. Totally unreliable once you pay them.

Harry Bennett is amazing. He arrived to do the work on time. He was more thorough than even I expected and I was thrilled. I have Total Protect Home Warranty and I cannot wait to tell them that they need to use Bennett and Sons for all their Central Florida members. He did not tell me that I needed parts or services that I did not need which was why I was so apprehensive about a new HVAC company. Harry checked everything and found the repair to be simple. He is honest!!!!! Repair was done in about 30 minutes.
Thank you, Bennett and Sons for your thoroughness and honesty! Do not worry about these other reviews. Call them if you have any problems. No, I am not a relative. I am now a customer for life. If you want let them know that I sent you.Diane (Oviedo)

first off let me say not all of there workers are fully licensed in HVAC and are legally not allowed to work on a unit. Secondly the guy that does the work is a big fat LIAR! they will give you an appt time and act like they are all helpful and what not, then call you and change the time and act like its your fault bc you arent avail. My appt was set between 12-1pm and they called me at 7:50am to say they were on there way, then proceeded to scream at me and tell me I was wrong and that i like to change appt times so I reluctantly said Ok just come now even though i knew that would make me late for work and they still refused to come and said he would come back whenever he "can" not to mention they replaced my unit 4 weeks ago and it already has problems. Not to mention im expecting a baby any day now and they have the NERVE to speak to me in such a manner. Oh and when the Landlord called to address the issue (bc they are covered through warranty) the XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX hung up on her too! There new name should be B!$%# A** MF*** and sons. those rotten devils. im so furious about this, i hope everyone will read this and take your business elsewhere please!

My warranty company choice warranty hired them to repair my air conditioner called tue set up an appointment for wed the 21 th between 12 pm and 1 pm never showed never call 2.30 I called then was told tech was on his way 3.30 4.45 still no show I call back at5.30 now told within2 hours finally show up little after 8.pm blew my fuses and said thermostat had to been replaced and rewired to out side and owner would be here in the morning no show called warranty company sent Seminole appliance service owner checked said it was relay installed new one and put in Freon that other company had let out .25 min later working great called Bennett owner to tell they were wrong and did not need all that he told me he told to GO SOAK MY HEAD IN THE TOILET whole experience was horrible lied from the get go do not hire them

They are very very horrible no customer service and the owner is very Rude. It's been 4 days and they haven't fix my Air Condition as yet
Choice home warranty assigned this company and by looking at the reviews i asked them to change the company still they assigned technician from this company only. As expected the service was terrible. They are not respective and technician was crazy. Without proper testing technician was telling that there was evaporator coil leak which is not true. My diagnosis money waste.
If I believe the diagnosis that done by technician and order a evaporator coil which is under warranty also there is a huge labour cost involved. Dont go with such companies who dont do proper diagnosis
