  From porch, wood siding, gutter drainage

  $40,000

  Took him 5 months to complete 30-40 % of the job and charged me for 80% of the estimated price for completion. He claimed he was waiting for the wood to arrive due to COVID but the wood had been sitting in my driveway for months. Also neglected other jobs he could have completed if indeed he was waiting for wood. Stay away from Jacques Benoit. Not trustworthy. I feel he ran with my money and didn’t deliver. Hope this helps the public out there.

  Replace deck

  We had to completely remove and replace our 1,500 square foot deck off the back of our three storey house that projected over our steep downhill backyard. The deck projects 15 feet from the back of our house and is about 25 feet above the ground below. Jacques Benoit and his crew was able to safely and efficiently remove the existing damaged decking and deck framing, pour new base footings, frame support walls below, install all new cantilevered framing with massive beams and joists. Install beautiful Ipe decking with hidden fasteners and new stainless steel hand railings. This was a very tough project since it was at the rear of our house and everything had to be hand carried to the rear of the house and down a steep embankment. The deck is amazing and we are ready to hold large parties and enjoy our breathtaking views from our spacious deck once this whole Covid-19 thing settles down. Highly recommend and will use again for other projects.

  Excellent. Exceeded all expectations. Will definitely use over and over again. A true diamond in the rough. So glad we were referred to him by our friends who has used Benoit Construction for the past 20 years and cannot say enough about them. Professional, courteous, pleasant, understanding, and very fair. Major renovation of large custom home and everything went without even a hiccup. Perfect. Our dream home is finished and no complaints.

  residential remodel

  Awesome experience. This is the most knowledgeable and professional contractor we have ever worked with. Very courteous, exacting, and a pure joy to work with. We have been buying and remodeling homes for the past 30 plus years in each town where have moved and have worked with dozens of contractors. If just 1% of all contractors had even one half as much compassion, positive energy, and knowledge as Mr. Benoit does then the world would be a much better place. Highly recommend.

  Floor leveling

  $15,000

  AVOID AT ALL COST!!! I hired Jacques Benoit for some floor leveling and he gave me an estimate. Half way into the job, he more than doubles the estimate w/o any "heads up". He didn't know what he was doing. I had to get a professional to finish up his mess...and the professional even wrote me a letter stating that Benoit's work was not correct. Had to go to court with Benoit. Stay far far away.
