  What a horrible experience. I called Raul and his son Ron out for a quote. They showed up an hour late but that was no big deal since I was home anyways. They came out, took measurements, we negotiated a price, agreed on details and so I canceled the other guy I had lined up because he was multiple weeks out. I was told by Raul that the hangers they subcontracted would be there around 8:15 two days later, at 3:00pm the day in question, the hangers showed up (this is after a text message from me and a response that they would now be there at noon). So Rauls subs show up, they ALSO look the job over, drop off their trailer, and leave. The next day, they show up on time, I greet them, they start setting up their scaffolding and I go inside. An hour later I get a TEXT, not a call, but a text that reads, and I quote: "Jesse the hangers called me and they don't want to deal with all the lights and video cameras that they would have to cut around and risk breaking, I wont be able to have anymore out there this quickly so you can go a head and give the job to someone else. Thanks Raul" So I immediately call him and he says they no longer want the job and he gets rude and hangs up on me. Then I go outside and ask the subs what the hell is going on. They say that they have other jobs they want to do, and they just don't wanna mess with mine. They literally had already packed up 90% of their scaffolding and were going to sneak off the job site. They saw the job 3X before they ever unloaded any scaffolding and then they get some higher paying job and split. Just for reference, this is a new construction, 3800 sqft executive home with a 2800 sqft garage. Hardly what one would call "not worth messing with" as stated by his subs. I got the subs on video blaming him, and I have him in text message blaming the subs, but bottom line, my opinion is that this is a fly by night, fast and loosely ran business that will pull off your jobsite in a heart beat if a better job comes along. They are an absolute disgrace. Feel free to email me at [email protected] for video of them walking off the job, saying they have other, higher paying jobs, saying they will need to borrow tools to reach the ceiling, and blaming Raul. Also email me for screenshots of all the text messages from him proving the guy is an absolute flake.
