Best Bid Construction

In 2018 we had a contract with Manny Bustamante ( with best bid renovations, Now its best bid construction) for a new roof and patio extension. Many issues delayed work. Manufactured trusses were expected. He kept trying to have us let him build them because he didn't bid properly. No way because the work that he already did was bad. Not square, level, or plumb. We cancelled the contract and are still waiting for him to return over $20,000 of our money. Can we,all say class action lawsuit, its time for the law to get him!!!

DO NOT HIRE THIS MANNY BESTBID! My experience is no way near what some of these reviews are. In March of 2020 Manny did a patio cover for a neighbor across the street and she was pleased so we asked him to come over and give us an estimate for the patio job. He sent my husband a rough estimate in a text which came out to $14,000 for just a basic single pitch patio. He said that he would take care of the HOA and that he needed $400 for the design(come to find out that the software the he used only charges him $95 per design). Sent him the $400 and then COVID happened and when I reached out to him he gave me the excuse about the COVID and that the software company online was down. I waited and waited, then I attempted to message him through messenger again and it said that his page had been deleted, turns out all his social media platforms had all been deleted, my husband tried calling him and said his number had been disconnected. So we are out $400. What upsets me the most is that he was always talking about Christianity and his faith and such but he's nothing but a wolf in sheep's clothing.

We signed a contract with him in June for a backyard patio and in December he still wasn’t close to finishing even though his contract said 28-30 business days. His workers rarely showed up and after lie after lie we finally had to ask him not to come back on our property in December. We have asked for a portion of our money back since he has over $20,000 of ours and we now have to hire new contractors to correct some issues and finish. He offered us next to nothing and now won’t return our texts or phone Calls.

00 STARS. I agree with Abby w. Do not hire thud guy with Best bid Renovations, Manuel (manny) Bustsmante. He lies, lies and lies. We hire him to build a backyard patio, we paid him 36500.00 and all we got was half a patio. He ran out of money and could not finish our project. He started doing the project to himself, he is no carpenter. Shotty work, when we brought it to his attention, he packed all his tools, and left. We had to fire him because of Shotty work, breach of contract, and his lack of interest, lack of respect to our money. We requested a portion of money back and he stated he would not I tertain us. Am I ever going to get the money you owe me for the patio project you never finished Manny!? This guy is ignoring my calls and texts for a measly $657 check he promised to put in the mail January 4th. It's no different then when he was my hired contractor on this project. This guy lies, doesn't answer his phone, texts, nor come by the project for weeks at a time, breaks his own contract when he does decide to come work (opens my roof when there's 100% chance of rain the next day and doesn't cover it properly & water gets in my house), doesn't fix the water damage even though he's "insured", threatens to come to my house to try & fist fight me when I tell him that he's responsible for the damage, then leaves us high & dry. WORST.EXPERIENCE.EVER. DO NOT HIRE MANNY BUSTAMANTE. Negative 5 stars.
