    Kitchen & Bathroom Remodel
    $45,000

Last year my wife and I wanted to renovate our master bathroom, yet due to Covid we decided to delay by 6 months, so 6 months ago we started getting bids for the kitchen remodeling, at the end of a long process with hired Best Kitchen & Bath to the high recommendations online (and the fact that they just finished a project up our street) - Honestly it was the best experience I had especially with Peter the owner. - the whole process was fast and easy and if not for the sink and water faucet delivery time delay it would be the fastest kitchen remodel in the west. Best Kitchen is a great company with only professional workers that actually do exactly what you wanted.

    Kitchen Remodel
    $32,000

We are more than pleased with our new kitchen and we couldn’t have done it without Peter's help. When Peter stopped by for our first consultation, I knew right away that I wanted to work with him. He was very easy-going, Knowledgeable and listened as I did my best to describe my dream kitchen. Throughout the process, his guidance was invaluable. He was always conscious of our budget and offered many cost-saving solutions such as where to get cabinet pulls and floor tiles. Peter was always available to answer our questions or to just bounce off our ideas. The new footprint and open design allows family and friends to gather in our kitchen, where we’ve prepared and shared many meals. Thanks Peter from Best Kitchen & Bath!

    Bathroom Remodel
    $9,800

Peter and his team did a decent job completing the cosmetic part of our large bathroom remodel, but the plumbing is a nightmare. The first pair of workers were Honduran, they worked for two days building two small walls and putting in all of the new plumbing. For some reason, Peter had a falling out with them and they ended up on my doorstep asking for money that he never paid them. It was an uncomfortable experience to say the least.

Peter had a new plumber come in, Paul, who said that the Hondurans plumbing work was terrible. Peter also made a racist comment, telling me that, "Amigos don't like to work." His son, who was there at the time, tried to clean it up by saying that all races have people in them that don't like to work. Peter then asked me for an extra $300 dollars to install an air gap that would go through the roof, as building code requires, and to fix the bad plumbing lines. I reluctantly agreed. Paul was supposed to finish all of the plumbing in a couple of days, but it took longer and Peter had already scheduled his Chinese workers to come in that didn't speak any English. I only mention this because it was impossible to communicate with them while they were working. They turned the water on while Paul was working on the plumbing and Paul left and never came back. He never put the air gap through the roof. Peter assured me that it was unnecessary. They installed a waterfall shower with a bench. We got a quartz double sink countertop, quartz window sill, and an ugly quartz base under our frosted glass. They ran out of quartz and just put plaster on the end, looks bad.
The tile work is beautiful, the cabinet's he found for us are also beautiful. They were also able to do all the electrical: adding can lights and a Bluetooth speaker / bathroom fan. He is a family man who is trying to pass the business down to his son, but his workers do not respect him or listen to him. For example, we purchased the glass mosaic tile for the accent you see in the pictures. The workers put two of the large tiles in with no space for the accent. They had to remove the tiles, cut them, and then put them back with space for the accent. We discussed it with Peter and decided on an accent that would be 6 tiles high, but the workers put in an accent that was 3 tiles high. We had to compromise and leave it as a 3 tile mosaic accent.
Another problem we had was with the vanity. We wanted a 48 inch vanity with double sinks, and Peter said it wouldn't be a problem. His workers put the plumbing in making it impossible to use a 48" vanity, so we had to agree to a 60" vanity. One of the doors wouldn't open all the way and we told Peter that we'd pay for a sliding barn door. He told us that he would just flip the door to open the other way, out instead of in, but when the last day of the job came and the door was still hitting the sink, he asked us for $75 dollars to turn the door around.
Also, on that last day, he realized that the handle for the shower didn't come out enough of the tile. He had to open up the wall on the other side, which was in my living room. Mind you, this was an open job. He came in and the bathroom was already completely demoed. He had an open canvas and still managed to mess so many things up. Now, I was watching as they cut a hole in my living room wall so that they could attach a handle to my shower. When his guys finished, Peter told me that they would texture the wall to match the rest of the wall, but that I would have to paint it myself.
When they finally finished, I was very relieved. I turned the door around myself, and upon first glance the bathroom was beautiful. You can see the pictures. The color scheme was great, the vanity and cabinets were elegant, as were the faucets that Peter provided. The tile work was top notch...but there was a smell.
Faint at first, but after a month it was horrible. I asked my wife and she said she cleaned the bathroom with bleach and the smell wouldn't go away. She asked if I noticed the bugs: small flies buzzing around the shower. I did. We called Peter. He was gracious and sent a couple of the Chinese guys that had done some of the work back to us. They went under the house and said there was no P trap. He had to point to the shower drain and then go under the sink to point to the trap for me to know what he was talking about. We called Peter. He said that he didn't know how this could happen. He said that he asked the guys before they poured the cement in the shower if there was a trap and they said there was. The guys ended up leaving that day, refusing to fix the work. Peter sent Paul back who said they didn't cap something, he couldn't explain what he did to us and left in a hurry.
The next day our shower and toilet were clogged. Toilet water was pooling up in the shower. Now we have to call a plumber because we don't trust Peter's guys. We might have to go to court.

I would definitely never do business with Peter and Best Kitchen and Bath again.

We got installed a brand new kitchen worth of cabinetry and granite counters in our home. A few weeks ago a major hinge cracked on an infrequently used cabinet. It is now rendered completely inoperable.

I have called the owner Peng Lee (626 area code) six times over the past month. The very first call I spoke to someone (silly me, didn't get a name) and they said someone would call me back that same week. As of today it's been four weeks and not a word from anyone.

We initially just wanted the hinge replaced, hoping not to have to pay for it but willing to if they insisted ($3K worth of cabinets you'd think they could spring for a hinge!!?) After the way we have been ignored, if they ever do call us back I expect a lifetime supply of hinges for our frustrations. The granite had some chips in it and we needed them to fix that as well. The granite was cheap and pre-fabricated.

I still had the cell phone number from our sales rep (323 area code) and got voice mail. I saw their ads in Craigslist and will NO LONGER make that mistake. The guys didn't speak any English and I don't speak Chinese. This apparently was a cheap cheap cheap product and service which was NOT worth it at all. Now we'll have to wait until everything falls apart and then do the whole kitchen again with a DIFFERENT company.

You get what you pay for with this guy, cheap cheap cheap. Don't use them ever!!!!!!

Granite Counter was installed in one day! After installed, they cleaned up and haul away our old counters. Seams was tight, cuts was perfect. Never know getting a granite counter was this simple. And, we got it for a great deal. Highly recommended and will use again!!
