We hired the contractor to remove existing deck boards and replace them with new ones. They did not bother to put a level on the existing floor joists, to make sure they were all even in height, and they should have shimmed the shorter joists where necessary, so all joist were equal in height. The end results were that when deck flooring was installed, several boards are uneven sticking up where they meet, when they should be flush, due to the uneven floor joists below.
