this was the worst-not the guys who did the work the owner pestered us for money before they even started-we agreed to pay at different points of the job-we always had the money!- but after the first day demanded the pay in full-DUH-we will pay as they move along-not before they even start painting!!!!! so our deal is it is all about money-we paid by card with a fee even though we had the cash cause we did not trust this guy-I can talk now cause he can't do anything to us!

Initially, Bianchi provided us the most professional, detailed estimate, including work with a S-W color consultant. We agreed to a 3% discount for schedule flexibility, told that meant probably a week, at least 3 days notice. So, the owner called one morning at 7:45am to say a crew was on their way, and it went downhill from there.
Despite the detailed paperwork, the crew knew nothing about the job – and had logos identifying them as some other paint company, not Bianchi -- only 1 of the 6 spoke any English, and that 1 (the crew chief) was often gone. I had to stop them from buying paint to match current colors instead of the colors specified in writing with the owner. Prep work was rushed and haphazard (see photos). They painted the whole 1st coat satin finish instead of flat as specified, and missed many spots with the 2nd coat –20% of the house still didn’t have coat 2 when they said “done”! They used a lower trim grade than specified until I caught it. Worse, for some of my black trim they used a leftover almost-black from a previous job (I checked the can I saw them using) instead of my black, so trim was mismatched. Lots of small spots of primer show-through or other poor work. Lots of overspray onto my brickwork and my windows. They also lost the screws from my rain downspouts. One wall blisters every time it rains or is humid. Owner had them come back to fix some things, but owner was unpleasant about that and with so, so many bad spots, some only visible from ladders, etc., there was just no way to catch everything at once – we’re still finding them.
As a university professor, I was able to stay home to keep tabs on the job – taking up a LOT of my time -- but even then the end result is low quality. Had the crew been left alone, I imagine much worse. Despite the acknowledged issues the owner never stopped by to check on things himself, fwiw
Several neighboring houses of similar age, shingle condition, etc have been painted recently. All turned out better than our house, and for the 2 we know prices, at similar cost. Apples to apples, Bianchi was a bad choice

TLDR; Painters didn't scrape prior to painting exterior trim, owner assured us it was unnecessary to scrape when we expressed concern, a year later the trim is all peeling, owner refuses to fix their mistake. I will update this review if the owner decides to stand by his company's work and fix it.
We chose Bianchi/ Providence Painting Pros because they gave us a reasonable estimate for painting the exterior of our 3-story Victorian condo building; however, it was a truly terrible experience. The owner Bob seems nice and knowledgeable but then subcontracts out so you don't actually know who will work on your home. Maybe some are great, the people who worked on our house were terrible. It became clear that the men working on our house had never done such a large house before and seemed to not know what they were doing and/ or were deliberately cutting corners left and right. I often had to ask them to pain areas they just seemed to skip? They also would just paint over things instead of waiting for the carpenter to first fix them. However, the biggest problem was with the trim.
Our main reason to have the house painted was because of peeling trim; the painters did not scrape the old peeling trim and merely painted over this. The carpenter who works on our house and I both brought this up as an issue to Bob, but Bob assured us that scraping was unnecessary and the paint would adhere just fine. Surprise! 1 year later and our trim looks just as bad as it did prior to Bianchi Painting. I reached out to Bob and asked him to redo the areas that need to be fixed ( all of the southern facing trim); he sent someone to take a look who agreed that the mistake of the other painters resulted in this mess (and also pointed out where the painters had used the wrong composite to fix some trim resulting in the paint being unable to adhere). I assumed Bianchi would cover the cost of fixing their mistake, but then I got an emailed quote for "maintenance work needed on exterior trim" - absolutely absurd. Trim paint should last 5-7 years, not 15 months. When I asked Bob to cover the cost, he said Bianchi has a one year warranty and that because it was an old house this was inevitable. Absolutely false, trim does not need to be painted yearly. If the painters had done the job properly, peeling trim a year later would not be inevitable. Save your money and headache, choose any other painter.
