I cannot speak to the other positive reviews for Dan and his company (Big Brother Property Management LLC) but my entire experience was HORRIBLE. I hired Dan and his company to take down my existing backyard fence and replace it with a new white vinyl which took over 45 days from the start date. First and foremost, Dan repeatedly promised completion dates that came and went with no communication. Him and his guys would just not show up and never communicate that they weren't coming. Next, Dan dropped his guy off at my house and asked us to let him wait inside while it rained until he came back to get him, 2 HOURS LATER. Dan clearly has no software for financial management as he repeatedly told me I owed him more money than I actually did and when I showed him the math, he would not even apologize for the error. He tried to charge me for the same items over and over and would argue with me when I sent the receipts showing I had already paid for those items. In addition, him and his guys would show up without the proper tools, ask to borrow items that I owned, and then TAKE THEM WITH THEM AND CLAIM THAT THEY DIDNT (I know because when I got into an argument with Dan over this information he miraculously found the items and returned them over a week later) Dan/his guys also left my yard littered with trash (pizza boxes, cigarettes, empty bottles). They also were responsible for disposing of my old wooden fence, which they left on my grass until it died for over A MONTH. Dan eventually told me he would come to my house and cut up the fence and put it at the curb for the town's bulk pick up. On the day that he was supposed to come, he never showed. So I texted him around 7:00 p.m. (as bulk-pick up needs to be out before 6am the next day) and he finally came at 9:00 pm and him and his guy were cutting up my fence with a chainsaw until 1030 pm at night. Dan also asked my boyfriend to help him do several things, which to me is just inappropriate when I am paying you for this service. Furthermore, the quality of the work is HORRIBLE. The fence sags in places it shouldn't, it isn't even even and in-line, he did not cement in several posts (so much so that the posts just wobble back and forth and I can see into the hole) and the icing on the cake is that I have a double gate on one side of my house. (If you have ever seen a double gate, they swing open in the same direction, either both inward or both outward, but mine open in opposite directions) and after the issues I had with Dan, his attempts to defraud me, his clean lack of knowledge to install a fence, and his overall ineptitude, I literally am going to be forced to hire someone else to fix this job because, honestly, I never want Dan or his guys to touch another thing I own for the rest of my life. That is how horrible this experience was. I would not wish this on my worst enemy. Oh, also, Dan hit my front fence with his truck, knocked it down. Left it that way for 2 weeks and then tried to charge me (on 3 occasions) to fix it.
