    Hardwood floor refinishing
    $1,350

We hired Chris Jaggars to refinish hardwood floors at one of our properties he sent an invoice to collect payment and said the job was complete. I went to the house to check and there were holes everywhere because he never filled them with wood filler as promised, there were stain smears all over the white baseboards in every room, there were stain fingerprints on the doors and walls, the toilet was full of waste from his workers, the house was filthy from the dust they didn’t clean after the sanding, and there was trash left behind. It was shocking how poorly the job was done.

Chris has completed several different remodels for myself. The job took a little longer than planned but as someone that is privy to the nature of this buinsess I understand how quickly things can become delayed. Chris pays attention to detail. My only negative feed back would be that he is too kind. He seems to get taken advantage alot by his subs when it comes to excuses for not coming to work. Chris has a family, but always makes sure he is dilligiant in his work.

    $25,000

Hiring Chris Jaggars and Big Show Remodeling was one of the WORST decisions I have ever made as a business owner. It was a NIGHTMARE to work with Chris Jaggars. Not only was the majority of the work done very poorly but Chris was unprofessional, downright rude and often bullying. The topping on the cake was when I told him after 5 months of delays and excuses renovating a tiny 800 sq ft rental house, that I wanted it to pass the city inspection before I paid his final payment. He then threatened that he would put a lien on my house first thing Monday if I didn’t pay him without the inspection done. I refused, and of course it didn’t pass inspection! He had to go back and do more repairs before it did pass. He also told me he was hiring licensed electricians to complete a substantial electrical job on the house and then subsequently said they walked off the job and he had to hire more “licensed electricians” to finish the work. Come to find out that when I asked for proof of payment to the electrical sub contractors (because other workers of his contacted me previously saying he didn’t pay them and threatened to put a lien on my house), he told me that they only pulled the permit and did a rough in for the panel but that the entire rest of the job was done by his UNLICENSED hourly workers. That is a huge health, safety and liability issue, not to mention a financial deception. When I called him on it he back tracked and spun another contradictory story. He also threatened to not call for a final inspection for 6 months longer unless I paid him before the city inspection and signed a document stating I wouldn't review his company online, which I clearly did not.

On top of it all the work he and his crew did did was sloppy and very poor quality. At his “final” blue tape walk throughs in two homes the issues I found included trash everywhere, doors that don’t close, vinyl plank flooring peeling up in many places with spaces and uneven, closets without handles that don’t open or close, broken mirrors, incredibly sloppy painting that looked as though someone with poor vision was doing the job, turning on bathroom faucet and water gushing all over the floor from under the sink, painting over old peeling laminate in drawers instead of removing it and painting properly, not caulking the shower, no covers on light switches and outlets, the list could go on and on.

Chris also took it upon himself to put cheap paneling in my home where the contract specified drywall and all without my permission. I had to fight with him to do it correctly and he finally complied after a long battle.

He also presented himself as a general contractor but couldn’t pull permits because he hadn’t taken his test to be a licensed contractor allowed to pull a permit. So, I had to wait for him to study for his test and take it in the middle of the job.

In summary my experience with Chris Jaggars and Big Show Remodeling was 1) VERY sloppy, poor quality work 2) Extremely Slow 3) Unreliable and full of excuses why things go poorly 4) Very unprofessional demeanor and communication

I would NEVER hire Chris Jaggars/ Big Show Remodeling again it was by far the worst experience I have had in the business in 10 years!

Chris was excellent! Very good communication. He cares about providing quality services. I was looking to replace all windows in my home but was burned out on salesmen who had no knowledge and big prices or others who were simply too lazy to even come out to measure the windows and just simply wanted to give me verbal quote based a picture. Chris moved quickly and was very professional.

Big show remodeling was a outstanding company to hire. He was professional kind, and did beautiful work. I have referred him to several different friends and they all had the same experience. He even took money off the bid on one of my sisters house because the project took a day longer than anticipated. He is knowegable and gave good suggestions. He is accountable, skilled and friendly.

Do not walk away from this company RUN !!!. Unskilled labor, Poor workmanship, only uses subcontractors. Do not believe owner when he tells you they are employees. No respect for property they are working at or the people that live there, especially women and will not listen to them and bully them. Will demand payment when it is not due. Lock up all your tools and any other items like ladders, tarps anything they might need during the job it will disappear or be used and thrown away when they are done using it. Never show up on time and only stay a couple hours to work. This remodeler is bad new all the way around.
