Bill Jones General Contracting

My experience with this contractor was not the best. He had given what seemed to be a fair price of the work to be completed. After waiting a week for him to start, he called the day before and stated he would not be starting on friday, the agreed day. It would be the following Monday. OK. But then called Sunday and stated he wouldn't be able to start until Thursday or Friday. Finally started 7 days late. To shorten this, through conversations I had asked for communication if anything was in question. Never happened as he proceeded to not do a couple of things on the contract, doing something different on his own and made excuses for why not after starting the job. Also, after a few conversations, also a very detailed note left, painted a room an incorrect color. Numerous other concerns from this experience had risen. Also, showed up unannounced for final payment, before any inspecting of the work. Every other time, he showed up late. Concerns were there of over painting, paint needing cleaned off things,outlets not working, and never telling us. After contacting him, he stated a time and day he would come to fix it, never showed,nor calling, until 3.5 hours later. After about a week and a half he texted and said he would come by on a given day and time again. By this time, we had corrected issues that were not resolved. Even as far as we had to paint the trim after painting was done. Throughout the entire home. Be cautious of how contract is written. Be VERY specific. Do NOT pay in full until inspecting the work and any deficiency you find is corrected.
