From the beginning of the project, Billy was a best-in-class communicator and craftsman. I'd received numerous bids for the bathroom in question, and the resounding feedback was, basically, "this is a complex problem with an indeterminate solution" (it's an attic bathroom in an arched home with a very bizarre layout). Basically the cost/value/time breakdown wasn't favorable to the types of contractors that like to flip a space quickly and cash a check.
Billy was very clear up front: "There's nothing about this project that scares me, and there's nothing we can't pull off". Thus began one of the most interesting and rewarding remodeling projects I've ever encountered. Watching Billy work was like finding John Nash's cabin in "A Beautiful Mind" (minus the red string)--he pieced together intricate and complex measurements, executed in a strategic order, and pulled off an incredible, awe-inspiring, and transformative bathroom remodel while encountering and weathering every external setback imaginable (2 tubs in a row had leaks, for example...).
I didn't get paid for this review, I didn't get a discount, I just got exactly what I wanted--the bathroom of my dreams at an incredibly fair price with a degree of care, craftsmanship, and character unmatched and unparalleled. If you need someone brave, who can rise the the occasion and perform in a bracket all their own, hire Bill.
