im am currently trying to get a deposit back from him he came and did 15 mins worth of work and wants to charge me 1/2 of my deposit $ i contacted the augusta co sheriffs office and they told me everything to do and they suggest i looked him up on google which i did and found all this,,he never did the paving he promised and after 35 i had someone else do it,,wiat 3 weeks to just get contract back finally did then they come with with the charge of 1/2 of my deposit ,,sorry thats not happening,,i want it all back,,

This company is a scam. There are several cases against Belcher Joe Stanley and his wife Sandra Stanley open in the state of MD for fraud, theft and acting as a contractor without a license. He takes deposits and never completes the work - if perhaps they do some work - it is terrible - but most of the time no work is done. It is usually delayed by some medical emergency a family member is experiencing.
Currently there are cases against him and his son in Virginia.
Please be very careful when dealing with this man and his family. He quotes god a lot - but don't let that fool you he is a thief and nothing more. -

Belcher Joe Stanley is a thief. Do not let him or anyone in his family even step foot on your property. They take your "deposit" and you will never see a finished product. At least 15 court cases still not resolved in Maryland ( currently has at least 2 outstanding warrants) and now he has moved onto Virginia - so far 2 cases in the court system.
If you come across Belcher Joe Stanley, and his "godly" wisdom - for your own sake - run the other direction.
