Greg at B&W is simply a pleasure to work with. My wife and i immediately clicked with Greg. He helped us through every phase of our project, which was an extensive kitchen remodel including some structural work, a new laundry room, a new mud room and more. His crew was great, did excellent work and we enjoyed getting to know them over the course of the 3-month project. We are already talking with Greg about our next project! Highly recommended!

Inside door, room projects; new front porch boards and painting; replace boarding outside wall flanking fireplace; diagnose and repair wall, roof leak; repair and paint damaged inside wall; new gate hardware; etc. excellent communication and work. Greg and his team were excellent in my opinion. I felt very comfortable with Greg front the first time he came out to review my project. He was prompt, responsive and courteous. The quality of work his team and him preformed was excellent, they cleaned up daily and respected my neighbors. The project moved quickly and all of the delays were due to my indecision. I would highly recommend Black and White to my friends and family. He wasn't the cheapest quote I received but I feel he definitely gave me the most value.

Greg and his crew were skilled, efficient and nice people to work with. Greg accommodated our small job and worked with our unique request to install soundproofing material to an existing wall. They also worked in a very tight space outside to install the acoustical fence. The wall came out looking good. The crew did a good job installing the soundproofing material, which was not a product they had worked with before. They also did a good job keeping the room tidy and cleaned it up well along the way as well as upon completion of the job. We were happy with the job and hope to use Black and White Construction's services for future work.

Greg Simmons did an outstanding job of bringing our house back to life after Harvey. Although we had a relatively minor amount of water in the house, we completely removed all drywall, floors, cabinets and doors. From the very minute we first contacted Greg, we felt that he really cared about us and about rebuilding our house with quality. His own home was flooded, and his family was displaced by the storm. Instead of focusing on his own problems, however, he put his customers first. Although sub-contractors have been in short supply over the last several months, and building materials were sometimes difficult to obtain, Greg has his own committed teams and was relentless about following up to get what is needed. He never failed to call or text back the same day with an efficient but meaningful response. Greg worked within our insurance budget even when building costs increased and delivered the promised work for exactly the amount committed. He charged only for the work he actually performed and was fair and accurate about record keeping. When unexpected challenges arose, Greg came up with efficient and creative solutions that did not break the bank. Change orders were created fairly and efficiently at a reasonable cost, and we were always given several options at different price points. The final product looks great. He has good crews and sub-contractors, but he supervises them well and carefully inspects their work. Even after we were satisfied with the quality, Greg insisted on resolving every last item that did not meet his own high standards. He turned away a lot of work, so he could focus well on the commitments he made. Greg is justifiably proud of his work. We would not hesitate to use him again or to recommend his work to anyone."

Black and White Construction; When you look for a contractor to do your dream project you have to look real hard for someone you think you can trust... then you pick one and hope you choose correctly-if your choice is Greg and Black and White that is what you get. Greg is trustworthy, honest, and very talented, but it takes more than just an owner with these qualities-it takes a team with these qualities. Black and White Construction has a team of excellent employees. His foreman, Chris, was also very knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly…as was everyone that worked on my job-they were all fantastic. The work and craftsmanship of every aspect of this custom build was extraordinary. The job stages went smoothly and as scheduled and the job was completed on time. The finished build is better than I ever dreamed. I have been recommending Black and White Construction to all of my family and I definitely recommend them to you! Choose Greg and Black and White Construction and you will not be disappointed!
Description of work:
New two story workshop/office/Dance Studio and very large garage. A lot of custom work including exotic wood flooring, woodworks, cabinetry, french doors, energy efficient windows, large circular driveway, A great deal of electrical work, and the list goes on and on. I am also very indecisive so I needed a builder that could "roll with the changes."

Greg helped design the kitchen, he was able to understand wife's expectation quickly and come up with good design solutions for her vision. He helped her make selection on the materials, and did a good job in remodeling the kitchen. He was on schedule and did not make the project idle. The plan and execution was very efficient. His crews are professional, on time and tidy. Greg has high standard and he did not hesitate to redo the part that was not up to the requirement. We are very happy with the result and awarded the flooring project to his firm as well. We are happy with both projects and would award future remodeling.
