    master bathroom renovation

    Do NOT, under any circumstances, hire Kingston Naylor or Black Lion Tactical Contracting for any construction project. We paid tens of thousands of dollars for a bathroom that we never got. I want to save anyone else from going through this horrible experience.

    To sum it up, we were quoted about a month for our master bathroom renovation. After we paid our second draw (so about 75% of the total for the project), Kingston dramatically slowed progress on the project. He would come for a couple hours a day, a few days a week. After more than two months into the project (double the estimated time), we didn’t have a single functional component. Anytime we asked for an update on timeline, we got excuses and the runaround. There were also multiple quality issues that we could see and brought to his attention, which he refused to address and became confrontational. At this point, we parted ways.

    Since then, we’ve found out that he cut corners and did such a shoddy job that we will have to essentially start over. The shower floor was not pitched correctly and would retain water. He did not perform proper waterproofing. The electrical work he performed was evaluated by a licensed electrician who deemed it dangerous. He moved plumbing to an exterior wall which multiple licensed plumbers have indicated could lead to burst pipes, and that they would avoid doing that at all costs. In short, we put our trust in Kingston and Black Lion Tactical… and it was the worst decision we’ve ever made. Please, learn from our experience.
