Blackstone Builders is not a reputable company and they do NOT honor their warranty or do quality work. I signed a contract to have a lanai built in May 2023. The lanai was NOT complete until 10/23. This lanai was built without a permit!!! I had to file a complaint with the DBPR and fight with the manager (Eric Branton) to get the permit, the workmanship fixed, and a doggie door that I paid for, put in. This Finally happened in 05/24. 09/24, a month Before the one year warranty was up, I tried contacting the manager ( Eric Branton) to tell him the gutter was leaking, the screen was pulling apart from the frame, one door slammed shut, and the other door wouldn't close on its own. I even sent videos of these issues. No response. I filed another complaint with DBPR and then I got a response. However, he refused to do any further repairs since he had already come out once. He threatened my pool company and told them it was their fault the lanai was built without a permit. Of course that was incorrect. In fact, the pool company had to wait for the lanai company in order to finish the pool. All of this happened because Blackstone Builders let a third party work under their license. This person did not record all the money he received from the clients. Instead of Eric trying to fix the workmanship of the lanai, he wanted me to join the lawsuit against the 3rd party. I signed my contract with Blackstone Builders who are responsible for the workmanship, and refused to be a part of any lawsuit. I am still waiting to get my lanai fixed and the complaint against Blackstone rectified. If I could leave zero stars, I would because no one else should have to go through what I have gone through. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!
