    kitchen remodel

Did a great job finishing a kitchen remodel. Communication was fine and he obtained opinions when needed. Would hire again for other jobs in the future.

    basement

Installed a closet and finished odds and ends in the basement. Lon did fantastic work on all repair jobs at a fair price. He was extremely easy to work with as well. I would recommend him in a heartbeat.

    Repair damage

Blair Contracting was hired to repair the ceiling and partial walls in a large room over our 3 car garage. His repairs were expertly done and the paint perfectly matched the existing paint. He also replaced our guest bathroom chandalier and was extremely careful, respectful and professional. I have used Blair Contracting 2 other times and have been very pleased with his work and professionalism.

3 projects: outdoor deck, followon extension, kitchen cabinets

Lon Blair has been great. He is very insightful about what is needed and has made a number of suggestions that improved what we asked him to build - at no additional cost.

Lon also made a number of suggestions for things I had done myself.

He is the first person I will go to for any project around the house.

    kitchen remodel

This company is completely inept! The owner is a very rude and scary man. He hung paneling in my kitchen, only to drive 6, 3 inch nails into my water line and flooded my basement and all he could say is call your plumber. He always had an excuse why he couldn't show up till 11:00am to start work then he would break for lunch at noon , then would leave most days by 3pm. and his work is, to say the least, horrible. Its his sub contractors that make him look good. He used profanity and threatened me in my own home. This guy is not worth at all what he charges!! Im not the only customer that he is having issues with. His A game has left years ago.

Blair Contracting was honest, reliable, finished on time and the quality of their work was beyond my wildest dream. We had our outdated kitchen remodeled and he helped us by suggesting alternatives we hadn't even thought of. I would highly recommend them for any remodeling jobs

Lonny Blair performs shoddy work and hires untrustworthy employees, then is unapologetic when they act unprofessionally. At the end of the renovations, there were numerous problems with the craftsmanship. The shower in the hall bathroom is loose and allows water to continue to come down below when it should be only coming from the shower head. Lon's workers have scratched my storm door in several places, and there are several places where painting was done that is not done well - white where mauve should be and vice versa. There are crooked tiles in the master bathroom shower that are very obvious. He has not put in the 4 side splashes (2 in 2 different bathrooms) nor has he replaced the defective panels or drawer on the vanity in the master bath (this is one of the things he is threatening to hold hostage even though I have paid full price for them).

Within minutes of me calling Lon about the missing ring (worth almost $13,000), his head painter, Edwin, called me with a story of how he knew where the ring was but it would take a week to get it back. Lon told me not to call the police or the insurance company or I would not see my ring again. The next day he said that his painter had a pawn shop addiction, worked with a manager of two stores (one off E. Gude and one in Silver Spring) and that he had known about this relationship for 15 years. He told me his feeling was that Edwin was "scrambling to get the money" so I could get the ring back but for me not to contact the police or insurance company or the ring would never come back to me. I asked Lon why he would bring a subcontractor into someone's home that he knew had money problems (which he told me several times) but he had no answer to that.

Since then I've pressed charges against Edwin and got my ring back, but am clearly unsatisfied with this business for the aforementioned reasons. I don't want Lon to come back and fix anything, I just want other people to know the type of business he's running.
