Just a post of our experience with Blue Collar Home Remodeling.
First of all it wasn't good. We had hired them to fix our loose tiles in our bathroom. When the pro showed up we talked about just replacing the loose tile and he said that wouldn't work we needed to do the whole floor which was 64 square feet as he didn't think we could match the tile.
The job was to remove cabinets, toilet and countertops with backsplash without damaging them so they could reinstall them again after floor was tiled. The job was started on Monday he was removing the backsplash when my wife asked him if it was just possible to remove the loose tiles and replace them only since we found the same tiles as the ones already installed. This way we wouldn't take the chance of damaging the cabinets since we were putting back in the same tile. He stopped and we all agreed that's what we would do. He left to go get retooled and returned the next day to get started on the floor. No change order paperwork was presented to us with the new price as we were now going from 64 square feet to 18 square feet and no removal of cabinets or toilet since those tiles would not need to be changed. According to their contract it states that any change to the job needs to have change order and re signed by all. Anyways when he brought us in to look at the completed job before he left. We were horrified at the job he did. He also stated he was going to take only $300 dollars of the job. Which was just ridiculous as we had already given them $2812.00 down which was non refundable and they wanted us to give them another $2500.00 at the completion of the job.
Number one the job was cut way more then in half of the work that was going to be done.
Number two the job that was done was terrible and not completed.
He stated that the damage from him removing the backsplash to the walls was there when he started and that he didn't do it. He blamed our previous contractor from 10 years earlier which was a lie.
So now I'm going to have to redo all work that he did again and repair the damage that was done to our walls.
