Randy came up to warren pa to do an entire interior painting.very likable guy ,clean work and daily clean up.Upfront he under bid the job and I told him I would purchase paint@ pay him 4K over quote.The work day consisted of 5.5 hours on the job.bowling and pool were a top priority.I would rate the work 7 out of 10.however he only uses months old roller covers 1/2 inch on a flat surface.Became irritated when I bought new 3/8 covers, paint was so heavy in spots it ran like fish scales.He then proceeded to spray a ceiling and did not agree you backroll paint. He had to redo the mess he made and charged for that as well.Still never had a bad word with him,I would just fix when they left..Still really liked him. He would stand with his hand out each Friday(very unprofessional). He then went on vacation with 5 days to go.on return he came alone became combative and said he had to go do jobs for “his customers”.We had other contractors installing carpet in about 10 days. He said that I was forcing him out by asking him to correct missed areas and suggesting what to finish first so we could actually sit in our furniture.he became more agitator when I was going to let him continue.He clearly came to start a confrontation so he would be told to leave.After 1 minute of consideration I accommodate him by telling him to get the hell out of my house. Randy is a good old boy but he is better suited to paint a warehouse.High quality intricate work is Not his forte. I’m left hanging with no one to complete work. Again good guy,very short days,knows how to paint but would be better suited for average work or commercial buildings.Not a high Quality painter.I have been a contractor for 38 years Never have I seen someone act like his quality was above all, in that regard he was clueless.
