I like Scott at Bluedot, but he seemed over his head for this project which was just some exterior painting and repairs of siding and trim. What should have taken a week or two, ended up taking over a month. The one painter who knew what he was doing, quit a month into the job because he wasn't getting paid enough. Scott did his best to find a replacement and finish the job, but the quality suffered. He never hired a qualified repair guy and tried to do all the work himself. He wasn't able to replace a lot of the trim pieces that needed to be replaced along the roof line and just painted over them instead. A lot of the materials that he quoted would be needed were never even purchased. I wish Scott the best, but if you're looking to get a project done right and on time, I suggest looking elsewhere.

Worse experience ever. I hope no one else has to put up with Scott Hooten of Blue Dot construction. He agreed to complete a snap-lock standing seam metal roof, replace the decking below, remove and replace all fascia, soffits, and siding with Hardie fiber cement board. He has broken every contract we had, taken THOUSANDS of dollars from us while the job is still not done almost a year later, damaged almost every room in my house (while decking was removed), ruined my carpet, damaged furniture, and still has not completed the project almost a year later. He did not get a permit when required and he did not know or ensure his workers completed work according to code. After personally witnessing and intervening multiple times, I can not trust any of his work to be completed in a safe manner. Unfortunately, because all the material I purchased has been used and mis-used and because of all the damages to parts of the house not under contract, there are not funds to hire someone else to complete the job. I wish Blue Dot construction would return the money wrongly taken from me and cover damages they caused so that I could hire a competent company to come in a redo everything correctly.

Scott Hooten from Blue Dot Construction took a down payment of $12,000 from me for a roof replacement job back in November, 2015. To date he has yet to start the job or refund my money. Stay away from Scott Hooten.
