    Install an in ground pool
    $75,000

    Do not use Blue Haven DE to install your pool! I received an email on March 16 informing us that our construction would begin in 2-3 weeks. Construction didn’t start until May! We have had a hole in our backyard since the beginning of May! No one will return our calls, texts or emails! We were told 6-8 weeks…what a joke!
    Their customer service is so bad that they have to have their employees post good reviews! We have been lied to numerous times throughout the entire process! I wish we had gone elsewhere

    Pool renovation

    This company was a nightmare to work with. This is my second pool renovation and I will not advice anyone to hire them. Read the other reviews before hiring. When the rep/owner came he promised a lot but they under delivered. Jeff, the construction manager is condescending, doesn’t listen to his customers and is a mister know it all. He doesn’t answer his call, doesn’t reply to emails. It took them almost 2 months to change the tiles, install a heater, a salt system and to replaster the pool. They would show up once in a while sometimes not for days. They hire a bunch of subcontractors to do the work, the construction manager doesn’t even come to check how the work is progressing. Once the contract is signed the rep, who is part owner, doesn’t even contact you even if you complained or asked for information. Read the fine print in their contract and do not accept their payment schedule as I made the mistake on trusting the smooth talking rep. They are really good and pushy in collecting money but dont keep their side of the deal.
    A few days before plastering they sent me some instructions and let me to fend for myself to find a water hauler during a holiday weekend. They put the salt system but never gave me instructions how to run it, or where they will place it. They did a horrible job with the plumbing and didn’t consult with me. Half of the pool is working, as they don’t test anything. I have complained to them, spoke to them during the entire ordeal but they never reached out to us, walked us through the process and discussed it with us.
    Also please be advised they do not test or support the pool opening (testing, ph, alkanicity) once the plaster is done, the most critical part of have a nice plaster. Unfortunately I learned that too late after they were gone.

    RUN IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION

    I am a landscape contractor and contract a couple of pool installations for my customers each year. I hired Blue Haven for one pool install and one major pool restoration in spring 2015. They were by far the worst company I have the displeasure of working with in my 35 years in business. They lied and made mistakes with every step along the long, drawn out way. Their project manager treated me horribly by repeatedly lying to me about why his contractors aren't showing up and they are way behind the schedule they promised. Whenever I directly confronted him about lying to me he would yell at me and imply he would purposely delay the next phase. He bad mouthed his other customers to me, telling me how stupid they are by always asking too much of him. When I got the owner on the phone, he threatened to call off the job but keep the large deposit, since I "was dissatisfied". I was on the edge of my seat during the entire 5 months I had to deal with them, afraid we were getting scammed and my customers would never get their pools finished. When they finally finished (months after their promised deadline) no one has heard a word of thank you or show of gratitude for the $150,000 worth of business. STEER CLEAR OF THIS COMAPNY! RUN IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION!

    Absolutely the worst contractor I have ever dealt with. They are downright fraudulent. The quality of their work is garbage. They promise the world and follow through with none of it. Do not go with this vendor. Their process and craftsmanship is flawed. Their inability to properly manage projects creates delays and extra cost for the customer. Stay away!

    Very pool customer service. Tried to take advantage of us at each step of the way. Promised to have work completed then never completed it. Cost us more money in the end because the owner is a liar and a cheat.
