They came highly recommended, but my experience was not what I expected. We were told that the process would be easy and enjoyable and it was one of the worst experiences that we have been through. I wish I had never used them to build my home. The contractor was not knowledgeable and even though we went over everything before construction, he still added things we did not ask for and omitted things we did ask for. They also make A LOT of MISTAKES and attempt to remedy those mistakes by using cheap contractors. If you use them, make sure you are involved in every step of the process and DO NOT be talked into something that you do not want. Also have the home inspected before you sign accepting it. I WOULD NOT recommend Blue Heron Homes to anyone!

My experience was exactly like the person stated in the previous comment but in the Monroe area! The experience was like a nightmare that never ended and actually we are still having issues that are having to be resolved!!!!! The construction manager did not properly supervise the subcontractors and there were numerous mistakes that were major issues! The builder/owner of the construction company eventually got involved which did not improve the situation! We even had some of the work redone because of the poor craftsmanship! I know things aren't perfect and mistakes happen but the way it was handled was terrible - poor communication, no accountability and blaming others! I do not feel like I got a custom home experience at all. I would not recommend Blue Heron Homes from Shreveport to Monroe to anyone. I also would not be deceived by the positive reviews on their Facebook page as well!
