I needed my schuco hot water heater fixed. It was a weekend. Mr. Thomas Kohlerman did not provide me with a quote or estimate, of even the hourly rate for his workman. For repairing a switch, I received a bill for $485.00. I was not told there would be a $130 emergency service fee, that the hourly rate was $110, which included 1 hour of travel and 2 hours of labor, which included a trip to Lowes to replace broken equipment. The technician was fine, the bill was not. If I had received an accurate estimate, I would have waited.

I recently had a very similar experience as described by a previous reviewer. The coordinator didn’t provide a quote or estimate or hourly rate when asked point blank what it would cost. When asking about the charges, which included both a diagnostic fee and a second fee for coming out to do the work to diagnose the problem (which sounds like charging us twice to diagnose), I was provided no information other than it’s hard to know what it will cost before the technician gets there. Upon complaining to Thomas Kohlerman about this practice of not being upfront about the cost, he then disclosed the information about what the technicians standard rate and diagnosing fee cost. Do not hire this company.
