It took me way too long to write this but here goes. BrainNerd Construction really helped me out. Back in 2017 I was hit pretty hard when I decided to remodel my entire home to make it livable. It was in horrible disrepair so I put nearly everything I had into it so that I could have a stable home for my children and I, only to have the first contractor I hired walk off the job in early 2018 with my money and leaving me with a half finished house (bare studs, exposed wiring, and a toddler who just learned how to walk).
David Brainerd knew of my situation and called on everyone he knew to help make our home livable again and completed the work that I still needed within what budget I had left. Not only was his crew professional and kind, they were personable as well.
While my home still has some work to be done, when it is time to do it I wouldn't want to hire anyone else. BrainNerd Construction has my vote!
10/10 Highly recommend!

****THEY ARE CROOKS! ****
We hired them last year in October of 2022 to build us a basement with a one story addition. A year later all we have is a partially built basement and they have constantly screwed up all along the way. I have had to monitor them and get on to them about doing it correctly. I have had to get an engineer involved just to prove to them that they were doing it wrong to which they then wanted to charge me to fix their mistakes. On top of that they left my existing foundation exposed as they dug out under the footer and left it like that. The engineer said to fill it with concrete and they asked if they could use structural foam. The engineer said yes and these guys purposely filled it with insulating foam that has absolutely no structural integrity at all and I am being told now that they whole thing needs to come down and be redone and will cost about $69,000! They send people who have never done anything with building a basemnet or waterproofing one to which when asked, " have you ever do e this before, they reply, No, but its not much different than a pool" Um... yes, yes it is! When I informed David Brainerd of what his employee said and showed him pictures of how they were installing the waterproofing membrane incorrectly he got hos panties in a twist anddecided to just quit and not fulfill their contract or refund me. They have caused more work that now needs to be done due to their incompetence and willful destruction of my property. I have heard I am not the only person they have screwed over so please spead the word so no one else gets scammed and screwed over by them. I was more than patient with them as this project I was told was to only take 3 months. I have gave them many chances to fix their mistakes yet now they refuse. Mind you they were only drying it in, we were to do all the electrical, plumbing, insulation, interior wall framing and finishes.
