He seems very knowledgeable when you first meet him. Don’t let him fool you! He will bid very low and then ask for more money. He bidded low on our job because he doesn’t have enough experience. His office is located in his tiny house in Westminster. If he was a produce good business in the real estate construction world, he wouldn’t be living in cheap housing and driving crappy cars at 70 years old. I really wanted to trust him and work with him but his moral compass is off. Don’t let him pressure you. Stick with your guts. Don’t work with this gc.

    house remodel

I do not recommend that anyone work with this company. They are very dishonest. I hired Dan's company to do renovations on my house. He took the money and never did any work. When he refused to repay my money, I took him to court and won. He has never paid the judgement from the case, and has recently changed the name of his company. He does not pay his subcontractors either. Be very careful with this company!

We sub contracted work from him

Dan Byers is a very dishonest person, we high recommend that you DO NOT hire him or do any subcontract work from him.
We are a small family owned plumbing and excavation company in Arvada Colorado, and after
we have done work for Dan Byers at EMDB Enterprises it has always been a long and laborious dragged out ordeal in order for us to get paid for the work we had performed.
He claims that he will pay and or try to negotiate the payment terms, yet he never comes through with his promises.
We send him invoices for our work, and he does not pay them. When we call to collect, he claims that we did sub par work, or different work that he did not authorize. He does not complain when we are at the job sites, or even when we send the invoices, he only claims to have issues after we make numerous calls to collect our money. He is a very angry person and yells at our office staff when they attempt to have any conversations with him.
He has open invoices with us going as far back as June of 2017, that he refuses to pay.
We will be taking him to civil court to sue him for the very large sum of money he owes us.
We strongly suggest that you DO NOT do any business with Dan Byers or EMDB Enterprises as he does not pay his subcontractors, as this may leave you with a lien on your property even if you pay him and or his company in full. Please take our advice and stay away from Dan Byers and his company, he is a professional scam artist.

    Sincerely,

    Trevor Harvey

He leaves the homeowner holding a lien on there property when it's all said and done beware of the slime ball do not work for him And do not hire him to do work at your home .you've been warned! His name is dan Byers

He had to hire a lawyer to fire him. He claimed his partner was a lawyer. He claimed to have some sort of law degree. Don’t fall for it. He is a big bully. He kept asking for more money. Don’t give it to him because he will ask for more. He didn’t pay his subs and encouraged them to lien the house. We didn’t take his endless threats lightly so we retained a lawyer. He also said he was going to lien our house for a bogus $150k. Yeah ok. Don’t let him push you around. The worst contractor we have have ever dealt with by far.

    $225,000

Dan did poorly managing our project. Didn't work with our other contractor well. The roof was leaking and he said it was fine. After a couple months, he asked for more money siting the fact that the roof was damaged and it was everyone's fault but his. In general, he cost the project a lot of extra money.

He was extremely behind with the project. Didn't get the permit until 3 months after the project.

This project is a high end project and his expertise did t show that he can handle a big project.

Also he billed us around 6-7K for permits but when I called the city the total bill was around $1800. That is a big difference. Be careful working with him.

He opens/close companies often. Research his other companies by going on SOS Colorado. Search and read the reviews about him. He is a no go.

    I don't recommend this company.

    Scamer

I would not work for them they do not pay there subcontractors.. We are filing a lein to hopefully get paid. We are not the first company to be riped off by them. So just be awear.

Response from Bnd Enterprises Inc March 19, 2019
We do not pay sub contractors that do not do the work and do it correctly. I have hire and fired a lot of subs for drinking on the job, doing drug on the job and doing shoddy work. right now I have a tile setter I paid $500.00 for materials he has given the client 4 excuses why he can not show up and do the job so I am sure he will be made at me but you don't get paid if you don t do the job, or if the workman ship you do is bad. In one house I had to tear out an entire bathroom because the tile setter was high on crack and did a totally shoddy job and still wanted me to pay him. It cost me three time what it should have cost because he installed the tile wrong so we had to tear it out and then buy new tile and put it in right. My cost was two sets of tile, the tear out of the shoddy tile job and taking it to the dump and one install because I did not pay him . He tried to lien the clients house and I hired my attorney to fight him. No he says I am a terrible man because he did shoddy work and I had to tear it all out and do it over again. But I am the bad guy cause he though he should be paid even though the tile looked like shit

This company is not reputable. President Dan Byers deceived our family and lied about the time our addition would take to build and tried to put substandard fixtures and materials in our home. Their workers performed very poor workmanship and actually destroyed plumbing fixtures and other areas of our home.

Do your research before hiring this company
