Worst customer service and serious lack of quality. NO ONE FROM ALPHA ever came out to do an inspection of quality of their 3rd party installers ...it all falls to the homeowner to find the issues. The job entailed 13 custom top of the line drop-in windows, 2 doors (one glass door), and 4 sliders. First, the head supervisor wanted me to do a final walkthru outside at 7 pm in the pitched black!! They inconsistently framed around 4 new sliders on my lanai which I had to bring to the job supervisor's attention along with the following failures. They installed then had to replace 6 warped screen frames, many screens were not taught in frame, all the caulking yellowed terribly in a week and I’m still waiting a resolution, they cracked and re-installed 2 marble sills, My painter refused to paint poorly done stucco on outside of new door which looked terrible and had to be redone, installers put 8 dents in my lanai ceilings during install of sliders and then covered it up with window caulking (not right material) and never said anything...my painter found the cover up.
My slider screens have come loose in just 2 months. Just a week ago a piece broke in window frame while cleaning (they are drop in type) and the entire window fell out. The window is still unusable. I'm sure it will take months for that replacement part. I've had 3 supervisors at my house (after escalating multiple times) over course of 3 months since install, one of which documented pages of unresolved issues and still no commitment on a resolution 2 additional weeks later.
I will also add that Chuck our sales rep kept saying given the customization and size of the job, “I only want the A TEAM TO DO YOUR INSTALL." Which apparently he says to every client and apparently they only have 1 A team of installers!!!! Are you kidding me. I clearly got the F team of installers. I was promised a 10 week install that took over 5 months! Now the hurricane was in there BUT my issue was depending on who I spoke with they each gave DIFFERENT reasons for the delay even before the hurricane hit. If I could put NO STARS I would. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. Get your PGT WINDOWS INSTALLED ELSEWHERE WITH A COMPANY THAT DOES NOT USE 3rd PARTY INSTALLERS. Use a company with a track record of proactive quality control and customer service. It’s not customer service when you have to escalate repeatedly to get attention.
