Bobs Pools

We are giving this company one last chance to solve our problem before taking it to the court. This company shouldn't even exist. They have the worst customer service and no professionalism whatsoever. Once they've built your pool, they don't know you!!! You are basically on your own. Good luck trying to reach out to someone to solve whatever issue you have with your pool. If lucky, you will end up talking to someone who will give you nothing but fake promises and lies. Expect lack of communication and weeks of being left in the dark having no idea who is doing what and when.

We paid this company a lot of money to get what supposed to be their "finest" white travertine. The sample they showed us looked bright white and we didn't hesitate to pay for it. They built and installed everything, only to realize that the deck is turning rustic yellow and brown (Fe3O2). Yes! Nothing can clear this or get rid of it. These stains are there to stay. This happened in under a month. We were in Michigan and they were supposed to maintain our pool for 30 days before we moved in. Of course, after weeks and weeks of trying to talk with the owner to express our concerns, we ended up pushing our construction manager to call him. They took the call immediately and I begged for them to send someone to look at our dying deck. He yelled and basically said he would never refund us if that's what we were thinking. So rude and so mean! He said he could only replace the bad tiles. But then everything is turning bad ? and he couldn't just wrap his head around the fact that whatever they replace will end up stained yellow in just couple weeks. In fact, the replacement tiles they sent were defected themselves and they already had these stains on them. Non sense!!!
I've been taking pics of everything and saving the ones from when they finished the pool to allow for clear comparisons of what they sold us, what they installed and what we have now. My brother works in construction and he assured me that a "fine" travertine should withstand the elements of nature, especially water, for several years before it starts rusting, unless of course what they sold us was nothing but crap!!!

We paid a lot of money to end up getting such poor quality tiles. We haven't even used our pool deck yet.

One thing I know for sure is that my lawyer will be delighted to handle such "civil crime" case!

Btw, the pool itself is nice and our neighbors love it just as much as we do. I've been asked many times by different people if I would recommend Bob's pools, and my answer was always a BIG NO NO?

Unless you are a scientist AND a lawyer,, STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AND SAVE YOUR MONEY AND KEEP YOUR PEACE OF MIND!!!

RUN FAST.. FIND A REPUTABLE POOL COMPANY !!
Worst experience I have ever had dealing with any contractor. My sons neighbor was putting a pool in by Cascade Pools so my son had their salesman come over and give him an estimate to install a pool at our house. Cascade provided us with a nice design and price. We decided to get two more estimates for the same pool. Bob's Pools and Screens was one of them. Dwayne Langos was fast, put the price together, had my son pick out the colors, everything was fantastic and we put a $5000 deposit down on a $49,000 pool. THAT's WHERE EVERYTHING WENT DOWNHILL. After they securely received our deposit, they would not return calls, they never came back out even though they would leave messages saying someone was coming, so we would miss work to be there and nobody would show up. Two months after they scheduled the diggers to come out on a Saturday (because neighbor would only give consent to intrude on their property when they are home) and again NO SHOW..!! We called numerous times and was told someone would call us back, nobody would. Finally they reschedule to start digging 2 weeks later. They texted the day before and said someone would be there Saturday morning at 7am. Again, we made arrangements for my son and his wife to be home (which happened to be the same day as my sons great-grandmother's funeral which he was going to have to miss). at 9pm Friday night he received a text that they were not going to be there, and if my son wanted them to install a pool at our home, he would have to pick another day (Monday-Friday) because they will not dig on a Saturday. THREE months of pure stress and aggravation dealing with this company, the neighbor, the HOA, etc.. Everything that Dwayne had promised when he took the deposit cannot happen.. We cancelled our pool with this company and after numerous email exchanges with Erica Wendorf (the owner) They still decided that they were keeping $2262.00 of our deposit because THEY couldn't do the job we contracted them to do.
