I hired Stephen and Gloria Bodnar of Bodnar Builders LLC (also DBA G&S Investments and AKA Bodnar Contractors Inc), to add an addition onto my home, and to install new windows and doors. The addition was 12 x 22' gable addition that came off the side of my ranch and was to enlarge the kitchen and entry area. Some of the openings for the new windows were existing and some of the openings had to be framed in.
90% of the work was out of plumb or not level. The addition itself was out of level by 1 1/4" rise over the 12'-0" off the house. I later came to find that he knowingly built on the out of level foundation he laid, and didn't think I would catch it.
The building inspector failed much of the framing work for the doors and windows (IE, headers were improperly supported or nonexistent). The Rough Openings were not flashed or sized properly per manufacture instruction.
He refused to make repairs, walked off the job with my money, and left me to get the job finished. Very unprofessional.
