If you want to buy a $400k fixer upper then this is your contractor. No supervision for any sub contractors, they bury all construction debris in the lot, the finishing work is poor, they used our HOA money to pave the road, installed commercial lighting in the kitchen, door knob came off in my hand about two hours after closing, shower floor broke after 6 months due to incorrect installation, I could go on for days….

I certainly would not recommend this builder. I base this review entirely on the contractors that this builder uses. Poorly finished drywall. Who ever hangs the doors, this was so bad that it was necessary to remove the center hinge on one door. The doors are not properly shimmed to ensure plumb and level. Pre-hung doors that the latches don't line up are installed incorrectly. See daylight at the base of the front door means it was not squared correctly. The bathroom cabinet must have been a cabinet for an ADA build. it is so low that I must bend over to wash hands. And then there's the concrete work. The contractor must have been Blind Mans Concrete. I have never seen such poor work. The expansion joints are very crooked and as wavy as the seas. I expected entry level finishes but I certainly didn't expect that they would use the entry level contractors. Every once in a while, The boss (Mr. BR Homes) should check on the contractors
that he decides to use. Whenever asked about the house, I can only say BR Homes built it and not the contractors that he has poorly hired.

I wouldn’t even give this builder 1 star. This builder is the worst! And so are the people he hires! We asked that certain items be fixed before closing and they just threw caulk over it. If you expect to move in and not have to correct anything think again. Walls that look smooth are not because the painters painted over the dust on the walls. They applied so much paint on the moldings you can’t even see the profile of the mdf boards and when you try to clean them up red clay comes through because they painted over after dragging through red clay. Paint drips have to be sanded. They even made a piece of molding out of caulk because they were to lazy to cut a piece. The “custom” cabinets are a joke. The drawers aren’t even full size drawers. They glued a vanity to the wall because it was built wrong and wouldn’t stand straight. We have spent so much time and money trying to correct their shitting work. Oh and if you think you’re getting click together vinyl flooring think again. It’s the cheap glue down sheet vinyl. Nails, staples sticking out of molding were just caulked and painted over. If you see this builder RUN!

The first four months were great. The two weeks before closing were very insulting and obvious that this is a builder who does not care and is willing to sell very shabby and poorly constructed work, even when those items were pointed out well in advance of being able to correct to satisfaction. To be told that a warped board on the roof that is causing the shingles to buckle is extremely insulting. Warped means bent. On a panel that should be FLAT that is not cosmetic. The future hold water damage and shingles being loosened.
