My father started in the plumbing business when he was discharged from the Marine Corps and came to Cedar Rapids in 1959. In 1968 he started his own company, Bob A'Hearn Plumbing. His emphasis was on Service. As a young man in my early teens, I was fortunate enough to work with him and learn, not just the plumbing trade, but his passion for his customers. Aside from my schooling and my time as a Marine and Marine Officer, I have worked in the plumbing trade, becoming a Master Plumber myself.

Today, I share that same passion for my customers and Brad A'Hearn Plumbing offers that same great Plumbing Service.

    I had Brad put in handicap bars for my bath/shower. He came in a couple of days and arrived on time with everything he needed to do the job. He was polite and friendly and cleaned up after he finished and even took the time to installed a new shower head that I purchased. The price was very reasonable . I am very pleased and will call again if I need any plumbing done.

    Very good service!

    I've used Brad at a recommendation from a friend. He replaced two shower valves that were twisted due to corrosion of the cap and my attempt to get them lose. He installed two nice valves (he recommended, I picked them up). He did a nice job providing future access and shutoffs that we didn't have. He also replaced our old gate valve with a good ball valve.
    Brad just installed a new water heater for us today and did a great job. He's very dependable, provides good advice but is flexible.

    Water Heater

    Brad assisted me with a water heater I had purchased from Sears. This water heater I purchased from Sears went bad in 5 years time. It had a 9 year warranty, which means nothing to Sears. Brad and I tried to contact Sears customer service and was disconnected 9 times. Spent more than 2 hours with Sears on the phone, and kept getting the run around. It seems Sears will NOT honor their warranty. For them to honor their warranty, the need to send their own tech out there, which was going to take 10 days, that's right 10 days without hot water. Then they would make a call to see if it was bad or not, then maybe replace it, but still charge me for their labor. I had Brad install a brand new one the next day. I am very pleased with Brad.
