Every time I turned around, he had an excuse for why we couldn't do what he agreed to do. If he mis-estimated, he needs to honor his commitments. Now have foundation problems, cracked brick, moisture problems in the walls, no return phone calls. He is not honest. We withheld the last draw to get him to complete a few things (which still wasn't totally what we agreed to), but that was one way to hold his feet to the fire. I wouldn't suggest him to anyone. His subcontractors are good, but they even complain about him being cheap. We brought them food all the time, so I think they did a few things for us to try to make some of it right... We did the best we could with a bad situation. He's lazy and is never there, and is not on top of what needs to be done next. You have to call him constantly.

There are no words really to say how horrible this experience has been on us. I questioned the other two reviews and he had such good answers. Please listen to these reviews to save yourself so much pain and money. He went over $25,000.00 on the cost and thru out the whole process we asked him how the budget was doing. OH don't worry we are on budget. NOT, he new early on, a process that took 10 months to build, and if he had been upfront with us we could tweek the project to not be over sooo much money. Then we got hit with the site work which he was not there for and when we both showed up we could not believe how much they cut into the side of the property. Again, don't worry we can fix this, NOT!!!!! We now have a bid for $20,000.00 to fix the negligence of him not being there, but he never is on site. Asked a sub if he had been there (one that had been there 3 weeks) and their reply was that he never comes just calls. He never finished our house. We are going to hire other people to come and fix what we can't live without, some we will just have to live with. We have a pocket door in the bathroom which we will never be able to use. Ask him for no less than 3 reviews, go look at the houses, I bet he can not give you 3 happy families. If after reading this you still use him make sure you are in control of your own money, have him give you the invoice from the subs and pay them yourself. This is a huge investment so be pro active , it is your money don't trust anyone with it. Biggest mistake of our life and very sad cause this is our retirement home and the budget was so tight yet he has left us not in a good financial shape. He knew that we had a limit cause we told him all the time. Thought he was a good Christian and Precinct Chairman so never thought he would mistreat someone so badly as he did us.
