Brazilian Concrete

They came to do our backyard patio and their equipment broke down, they ended up using my husband’s wheelbarrow to get the concrete in the back yard. Very unprofessional.

When I arrived home there were about 8 guys in my backyard, and only 2 of them were working the rest were standing around and sitting in/on our patio furniture in the yard, including what we found out later was the owner, Marcelo. They proceeded to splash concrete all over the back of our house, our AC Unit, and a piece of our patio furniture that was in the yard, not near the patio, they also tore up our yard, left their lunch trash in our backyard (my husband had very nicely bought them lunch), they left places all over our yard with piles of concrete debris. They borrowed my husband’s wheelbarrow and did not clean it up, so it has dried concrete all over it. They also left the broken piece of equipment in our front yard for 3 days, it took two phone calls from my husband to Brittany in the office to get someone out there to tow it away. By leaving it in the yard, it ruined our grass in that area. (I have included photos)

I proceeded to text them to get them back out to clean up the concrete, repair the yard, and power wash the house, to which there was always an excuse of “we are down several crews and you are not our only customer”. I tried to explain to them that that is not my fault that they do not have people showing up for work. I was told 3 times that they would be out to take care of it “tomorrow”, but they never showed. We had even agreed in a text message to a time of 8-10 am on Wednesday for them to show up and my husband took off work to be there, as our yard needed to stay locked, they never showed or called. When I reached out, I again got that same reply, “we are down several crews and you are not our only customer”, and Brittany saying, “I was busy taking care of other business matters, and you are not our only customer, so I was not able to call to tell you they were not coming”. And was told at 10:17 am, they would still come out that day, and I told them to text ahead of time so we could try to be there. Was told she would get me a time and get back to me, but there were down crews. At 4:06 pm I texted to see if they were still coming and was told they are down work crews. No one ever came out. And then was told they would be out the next day (Thursday), to which they never showed. And I was hung up on after she told me there coming. I then received a text Thursday stating they would be coming on Friday at 11:30. Due to the fact that I had shared with Brittany that if it was not done that day we would be hiring someone to take care of it, we did just that. We were entertaining on Friday and could not take a chance that they would not show again. On Friday, Brittany reached out at 10:08 to tell me they have someone coming at 11:30, is that a good time? I informed her that we had company coming that day and due to Brazzillians’s “tomorrows” never happening that we got someone to take care of it. We have heard from many other customers that the same thing is happening or has happened to them.

As I stated above we ended up hiring someone to power wash (and this person came out in the rain and took care of it for us - we were told by Brittany, that they could not come out in the rain) and my husband cleaned up a half an extra large garbage bag of concrete from our backyard, and side yard. We will also need to buy sod and fix the multiple places they ruined the yard. We were told this would all be taken care of, it never was.

Due to the fact that they kept putting us off on coming to remove the concrete, the places the concrete was left on the house are not discolored and stained concrete color. This is very unacceptable.

They also claimed that they come out and sealed our concrete the day after it was done, and we do not believe this has happened.

My husband also spoke with Brittany on the phone the day the pour was done and told her that due to all the issues he would like a 10% discount, to which she said that sounded fair and she would talk to Marcelo about it. Marcelo came out to pick up the balance of our job which was $1596 and he told my husband he would drop the $96, which is not acceptable, but we paid it because we wanted to be done. We also had to ask two different times for a receipt for the down payment, and then again ask twice for the receipt for the balance.

This company is rude, unprofessional and doesn’t care of they ruin your belongings.

Starting with the quote process I was told when I was ready for them they would be out in 48hrs. After several phone calls and promises of what day they would be out. They came out a week and a half later. I was told how their people called off work, or their kid was in the hospital or we had a major problem at another site. Always something! It wasn’t until I called and said if you can’t start I will get someone else. They were out that afternoon. They leveled the ground and framed it in. Left with out giving me a return date. That was on a Wednesday. Monday came and I heard nothing so I called and said it needs to be done by This Wednesday. That is plenty of time to get it done. They showed up Tuesday morning and their trolley fell off the trailer in our court. I helped them get it upright and they left because it would not run. They came Wednesday with wheel barrows to pour. They did a good job. Said they would be back tomorrow to clean up the wood and pile of rocks left in the court. The next morning the concrete had brown spots all over it. When they came back they said they didn’t know what it was but it would probably go away when the concrete is dry. They couldn’t get all the wood and rock in their pick up so Saturday morning the owner Marcelo shows up to clean up. I expressed my concern of how horrible the pad looked. He demanded payment and I said give me until Monday to see if the spots clear up or begin to fade. He threatened small claims court. The pad was looking better Sunday evening so I asked them how you you like to get the check? They picked it up Monday morning. The owner has no customer service abilities. If you want a job done in a timely manor this company is not for you.
