We contracted Kager Brewer Construction to remodel our second floor. In Dec of 2019 we paid a substantial amount, approximately 50% of the contract as a downpayment in order for needed supplies to be purchased. He demoed our second floor leaving us with an empty second floor where 2 bedrooms and a bath once were. He did some work finishing off an attic space but did not complete the work. That's when all the excuses started why he couldn't get to the job. After about three more months of no response from him we contacted a lawyer. His only response to the lawyer was to provide his lawyer's information, who didn't have any constructive response. Finally a call was made to us asking if we wanted Kager to continue working with us. We hadn't spoken in months. Months of messages had been ignored. We told him to talk to our lawyer. We found another contractor to work on our project. Working with Kager Brewer was an expensive mistake.

We signed a contract with Kager Brew Construction on 3/1/2021. He was to renovate and expand per kitchen in Blowing Rock. His company tore out a kitchen and led us to believe he was having new cabinets made. Then he disappeared. Absolutely no communication. A horrible experience. Now, a year later, another contractor is finishing this project for us. DO NOT USE KAGER BREWER OR HIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING.
