Large Reno repipe, rewire, replumb, drywall buildback to ceiling & walls, tile & baseboards througho
    $70,000

Large renovation work on our home started in January 2018 with asbestos abatement to tear out water damaged ceilings and water damaged bedroom wall created by bad roofing contractor, Premiere Roofing & Carpentry. The asbestos abatement and new HVAC system were separate work of General Contractor Brick by Brick Solutions, LLC. The sales representative for Brick, Aaron Krause, stole $52,000 from us and gave money to his father-in-law, an unlicensed contractor Timothy Behm, who deposited funds into Boardwalk Contracting, LLC checking account. Home Advisor contact telephone for Brick was answered by wife of Aaron Krause of Boardwalk Contracting. Krause represented Boardwalk as an authorized business to negotiate the contract we signed and accept our money using Brick's general contracting license. The problem has been referred to the DBPR who has issued a cease and desist to Boardwalk Contracting, owner Timothy Behm. The DBPR is working to refer the matter to the Orange County Criminal Division of the States Attorney's office.
Before we understood we were being robbed, Boardwalk stole $27,000 to setup contract and sold us kitchen cabinets and a walk-in-tub for $25,000. These items were supposedly demo items from a business. The kitchen cabinets turned out to be too large for our small kitchen and were falling apart with missing drawers when we came to pick them up at Boardwalk's warehouse. The tub was missing the motor, plumbing and all necessary equipment to run the jets. Cabinets were donated and tub was picked up for trash.
We believed that Brick had no knowledge of Krause taking our money so in March 2018, we negotiated a contract for around $80,500 with Brick with an understanding that completion of work is contingent upon Boarkwalk refunding $27,000 to us. Later, we accepted Brick Phasing Breakdown and Costs that excluded completion of guest bath & painting costs: Phase 1 $26,250 (covered by $25,000 deposit) DEMO, FRAMING, ELECTRICAL REWIRE AND INSTALLATION OF FIXTURES, PLUMBING REPIPE; Phase 2 $35,492 DRYWALL BUILDBACK, FLOORING (TILE THROUGHOUT & BASEBOARDS, SLIDING DOOR, MASTER BATH, (Painting while not included was paid $5,000), Total $66,752. Phase 3 COUNTERTOP AND KITCHEN WAS EXCLUDED with an understanding this work could not be paid for.
We have been living without a kitchen and unfinished work to guest bath. Because there was no portalet on site, we allowed workers to use our toilets. After demo of the guest bath, floor tile and toilet reinstalled to accommodate workers. Brick worked with us to get as much done with our budget and helped pay for some hotel costs during times we could not live here. At the end of the day we paid Brick $71,994; Fabiola Meneses furnished an incomplete accounting and has not worked with us to reconcile the amount we contend Brick overcharged us.
The painter was messy, missed some areas and had to come back to touch up areas. The electrical work is not completed because we had to wait to install kitchen. To date, Brick and electrical contractor are NOT responding to telephone calls, text messages and emails.
After doing some financing to make up for the $52,000 loss, we now have kitchen cabinets installed and awaiting countertops and plumbing, work scheduled for next week. Hopefully, the electrical contractor will respond to finish up work in kitchen and finish some other items that need attention.

    Full home remodel
    $100,000

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I am here to warn you. I had them do a full renovation on our home and the quality of their work was very poor. They put the island in the wrong part of the kitchen because they put the lights for the island in first and didn’t put them in the right spot. All fixtures and switch plates were installed crooked. They cut all of the Cable to every room and pulled it back through the wall to the outside of the house and never brought it back through. I was supposed to have a 14’ driveway of pavers and they ordered the wrong amount so they installed a more narrow driveway without talking to me first. The pavers are already breaking away. The paint work was horrible. They did the outside of the house without pressure washing so it’s already peeling. They had overspray on EVERYTHING! They ordered the wrong size Window and just tried to install it without thinking we would notice. They installed French doors that have not closed properly since we had them installed. Brand new window and French doors leak. Paint on inside walls was horrible and on ceiling. Installed new interior doors crooked. All door handles were crooked. Had to buy 3 ceiling fans for one room because they kept breaking them. They gave us wrong measurements for vanities and cabinets so we would have to go buy new ones but we couldn’t take the other stuff we bought back because it was either damaged or boxes were thrown away. Still having electrical issues with ceiling fan lights coming on on their own. Paid to have walls repaired on inside and they didn’t look any better after they said they repaired them. Damaged baseboards. No threshold between different types of flooring. No threshold at all from inside to outside screened porch. Installed sod too early and it died. Didn’t have enough coping ordered for around the pool so they finished job AFTER the pool was resurfaced and the concrete got into the pool and stained it. Didn’t do things they said they were going to do like finishing repairs on exterior walls. They have come back a number of times to try to fix things but it never gets completely done. We have struggled and fought with them to get what we are due. They are inefficient and will make you think they’re going to do a good job for you but it has been a nightmare with them! PICK SOMEONE ELSE!! Do not use these people! I have renovated four houses this year and this has been the worst experience by far! They do not warranty their work! Their workers set their coffee pot up in my new kitchen and poured coffee all down the front of the new cabinets and stained the countertops! Complete lack of respect
