    I had to fire them. They requested half up front, no signed contracts. Showed up for one day, found damage they didn't realize (which is normal), left and then I didn't hear from them for a week or so. Then I was told the project manager had a bad back, then I was told that he got fired. Meanwhile, I'm in over $800 for an unfinished project and my new gutters ruined (which should have been saved and will cost me $350). I then schedule a 10:30Am appointment with a superintendant to figure out how to fix this. He never showed up or called so I let them go at about 11:30. I have hired another contractor to fix the mess they left. That contractor said the patio overhang was not dropped correctly and should have been attached to the rafters and not the roof edge as it could collapse in the future. Terrible experience.

    I will hire Brilliant Svcs again when I am ready to remodel my kitchen!

    This is the 4th house I have done major (between $20K and $100K) remodeling in the past 15 years, and I can say that this is the BEST remodeling experience -EVER! I found Brilliant Svcs here on BuildZoom. Steve and his crew at Brilliant Svcs were true professionals throughout this entire process. I now consider the guys and gals at Brilliant like my family. Love them all!

    BIDDING and CONTRACT: The bid was realistic, well-detailed and addressed all my wishes. (NOTE: I had received bids from two other companies with comparable cost estimates, but they were rather vague, which made me uneasy about the likelihood of them staying on budget.)
    BUDGET: Steve worked diligently to ensure that I stayed within my $25K-$30K budget, even when there were major surprises (and there were a few!) during the demolition and remodeling of the master suite. The final bill was exactly as stated on the contract.
    TIMELINE: Brilliant Svcs stayed on schedule, despite some changes I made along the way (and the various surprises that popped up.) I even hired them under a second contract to redo the flooring to the entire house during this remodel, and they kept to the schedule.
    RESPONSIVENESS: They listened to my ideas and made changes as I requested without a complaint.
    COMMUNICATION: To me, communications is the most important element of the project. Through phone calls, texts and emails, they kept me informed of the status of each phase of the job. They never left me wondering and guessing; this really helped keep the stress level down for me.
    PROFESSIONALISM: Team Brilliant (as I called them) and the subcontractors kept the worksite clean and organized. They respected my home and my privacy. I knew each team member's or sub-contractor's name before he shows up at my home.
    FINAL PRODUCT: Simply beautiful!
