If you enjoy the look of chipping paint, the look and feel of heavy overspray on walls, the lacquer shadows around your doors among other places, flashing on your trim and doors, nail holes visible everywhere, outside paint chipping off, amongst so many other things, then I would highly recommend you build with them. If not, I would find someone else. Save money and misery.

they overcharged us they undercut everything 212 things are wrong with our house and they are not anywhere to be found. They put granite in our bathroom that I didn't even choose The two fireplaces in our home neither one work. The heater has not been fixed. They promised as credits for buying our own bathtub and Grill and they never paid us. They gave us no sod in our backyard and left it that way. If you want to buy a house please do not buy from Brookshire call us at 314-0872 and I will be happy to let you know all the things they've done to us

I also had a horrible experience with this builder. Had to replace the AC unit within 2 years because the unit wasn't properly loaded to the house. It finally blew up under the load. Carpet missing in closets - just bare concrete. The concrete floor under the carpet had giant clods of drywall compound. Backdoor had to be replace because it was leaking so badly. Landscape contractor ran over the driveway cracking it badly and he refused to fix. I would have walked away if I could have.

I would never recommend brookshire to anyone. Horrible workmanship and even worse customer service. When you finally find all the corners that were cut you are told too bad so sad because you no longer have your one year warranty. Save yourself the money of having to fix all the mistakes brookshire makes and choose a different builder.

I just had brookshirehomes build a new house.
What a disappointment when the house was finished.
Very unprofessional and poor quality. Not a custom home as they perceived it to be. I would qualify it as a cheap spec home with the cost of a custom home.
Anybody that would repair a poor cement job under the garage door and stuff carpet foam in the rubber seal on the overhead door to repair sorry cement job after the second time cement was poured was very unprofessional. Left the house with chipped tile and would not repair.these are just one of many problems that were encountered With this builder including not getting the interior paint that was requested or the full sink that was requested. How would you feel about a new house that had a roof leak when it did finally rain and water ran out of light switch in the wall. It's not a good feeling at all with all the money that was invested. The outside cement was very poor with cracks coming in cement two days after it was poured. All of this (and this is only part of the issues), seem to meet the standards of this builder. There are two other people in this rural area that brookshirehomes built homes for that i know of and they are very disappointed also. I would not recommend this builder for anyone wanting to build a once in a lifetime home.
If they read this review, they will know exactly who wrote it!!!!! They are aware of all the issues we had and still have

Regarding my review written November 10, 2017. I was in receipt of a letter from Rieger Law Group representing David and Rhonda Brookshire that demanded I remove all derogatory statements and remove all defamatory statements regarding the Brookshire on social media. So I am updating my review. I would like to say the fireplaces are working and the heat was fixed. Our home was very disappointing when we moved in the fireplace had dirt covering the stone that needed to be removed and left a cloud of red dirt over the entire home. The granite in two of my bathrooms are not the ones I chose, however they tried to convince me it was the one I had picked. I went to the granite place and my piece was still sitting there with our name on it. We were left with dirt and weeds for a back yard. The front and back porch was promised to be beautiful cedar. It was plywood that had a clear coat applied to it. We had to paint over it to make it presentable. We were promised $750 at closing for purchasing our own bath and grill. They did not give it to us. Our cabinets and all the woodwork has nails that are clearly visible and looks cheap. The cabinets have a light coat of lacquer so anytime the wood is touched it easily scratches and requires touch up. We were sent invoices for things that had no explainaton regarding the interest we were being charged for the builders loan. We gave them a very large down payment to build with to avoid paying high interest and they still charged a large interest rate billed to us quarterly with no explanation of interest rates or what the amount was for. Our lighting and appliance allowance was inflated and we were charged a huge price for a can light because we chose not to have a vanity built. I would have thought a vanity would cost more than a can light. They messed up the bookshelves in the library and charged us to make a half way attempt to fix their mistake. The water here is so hard Culligan cannot fix it, my hair is falling out because it is so bad. The water pressure takes 20-25 minutes to run a bathtub of water. A shower is like a sprinkling of water. We were supposed to have a cabinet in the master bath between the mirrors that was left out, an under counter sink in laundry room (our is plastic over the counter). The doors in the garage are supposed to be nice wide decorative doors and these are hollow plain front doors. It felt like a bate a switch. We we were shown a ice model home ans told we would have exactly the same thing and it was not. Please call 405-314-0872 for questions.
