Our builder really had a tough run on our new house. We had two different major leaks that, once realized were repaired completely and quickly. One was under the sink, a plumber didn't tighten some lines, just switched a shut off valve to the dishwasher and forgot to open it or check it after the installation. In fear of mold, they replaced the all the wood cabnets under the sink and we were very greatful. The other was the guest bathroom tub plumbing leaked, we found mold at the base of the pantry and that's how we discovered the leak. Overall Brokeside was helpful and responsive once we knew there was a problem. Unfortunately for us, at about 18 months we discovered a crack across our hallway floor tile. It affects about 20 tiles but since it wasn't noticed until after the 12 month mark, we were kindly reminded that we are on our own to repair it. We were told it's probably our fault because we did zero scape instead of grass in our yards. Supposedly the zero scape causes house foundations to shift and crack versus house foundations with grass around them. I guess the ground gets too dry or something like that. I can't blame them for not wanting to spend any more money our $190,000 house once thier obligation was up however it's kind of a bitter end to our experience with Brookside Homes.
