We don’t recommend Mr. Mermans. Go to our website at www.go2bayst.com to read about our construction defects and building problems. The third-party independent reports are there and you can read for yourself.
We went through our builder, Royal Building Group, to have Mr. Mermans design our house plans. We didn’t have a direct contract with Mr. Mermans. He’s more concerned about the builder, Royal Building Group, and their interest due to their ongoing business relationship. Not us the homeowner. The independent third-party experts we hired say the manufacturer of our pivot door requires a canopy. This was overlooked and experts call this a design error/defect. Experts say this is one of the contributing factors to why our door failed and has been replaced. Mr. Mermans didn’t respond. He stood by the builder. If appears, Mr. Mermans has sold his soul to his builders. Birds of a feather flock together folks. Hire your architect directly. Do not go through the builder.
