I contracted Alex Bryant of Bryant Bros. Construction back in March2018.  I had to fire Alex in August 2018.  I am a young working lady looking to move into my first home and Alex Bryant Stole 35k for about 8k worth of work.  Any way he could cut corners, he tried.  He is very manipulative and make false promises on what he is doing or what he has done.

Throughout the duration of his 6 months on the job, Alex was extremely unprofessional hardly ever returning phones calls (unless I called 25 times in a row) or responding to text messages.  I asked for a floor plan of what he was doing to my home on SEVERAL occasion in which he promised, but then said, "It's not in his scope of work."  When asking for a timeline of completion, he did not give it.  I got the bank involved to ask for a timeline of completion and he did not give that as well.  At one point, I told him that I needed a timeline of completion, he called and we talked about him sending this information, then butt-dialed me back cursing me out and saying he doesn't have to show anything.  Alex was nothing but problems from the beginning, and I should have recognized.

When it comes to the work, he did a botch job.  On two -three occasions I can recall there being more them him and his nephew (playing on the phone) at the home.  It seemed as though he would be at the home a short time, maybe 2-3hours according to my neighbors.  The work was terrible.  The plumbing is incomplete as he removed ALL piping and began piece mealing pipes together that went absolutely nowhere.  The electric work was half done when he put dry wall on top of kitchen outlets that were 12 inches above the ground when a toaster plug was supposed to be. This is incorrect.  He removed ALL of my 12inch baseboards (completely unnecessary) and replaced my HVAC system with one from 2005, in which he said was "brand new." That was a lie.  The exterior paint job, in which he received 75% of funds was not sanded, prepped or prime and the very next day the paint began to peel off.  He received money for basements--never got them. He received money for exterior doors--never got them. He received money for exterior paint - BOTCH JOB. According to 3 follow up contractors, his work is bad and will need to be redone.

After I noticed the botch paint job, I knew there were other things [I could not see] such as foundation issue etc. that he said he "completed."  I tried to stop him from receive his last check and he proceeded to go to ACE Check Cashing to cash the check losing a percentage of the funds upfront.  He framed the door with interior crown molding made of card board that will swell up.  Alex Bryant is a scam artist and a very manipulative man.  He tried to guilt trip me on his sister's accident, he tried cussing me out via text messages using language like, "YOU JUST DON'T GIVE A FU*K" and more.  I do not recommend anybody using his services and they are free to contact me should they have any questions.  I gave Alex the opportunity to come and fix the paint and other items he got paid for and didn't start, but Alex stole money and I will be taking legal action. Hard lesson learned.
